Once you quit job you mihgt not have suficient amountof money as you had when you worked. Either you need to save the amount or you need to depend on your parents again. This might not be acceptable to your self so prepare yourself fot this well in advance. |

Depika while agreeing with you I feel it is quite natural. Every body will save some thing for the rainy day in case no unforeseen circumstances arise.

Most of the people go by notion to study further with low work-ex. One should decide to study further when career/job profile has become monotonous and value has to be added to knowledge base to open up more avenues. I think it's not exactly going back to graduate study days, masters/ph.d education after work-ex is totally different and practicle. Just remember few upsides like: Lifelong professional peer networks, Career/Functional role/Geography change, Better package/ exposure/ outlook/ living std etc. Cheers.

Yeh, it's not wise to go for higher education unless you actually feel you need one. If your career growth is not stagnated or unless you feel that lack of education is stagnating or slowing down your growth, one should not adopt higher education. Higher education should always be necessity based rather than just for the sake of it. I learnt it the harder way... :(
