If you feel sleepy, get up from your chair and go for a walk for few minutes. Get some fresh air outside.This will keep you from feeling sleepy. Short walks during the course of your work day can help you to be active. You can also take a walk after finishing a particular piece of work.

Shoot off a mail to your immediate manager keeping CEO and MDs in loop asking to construct a leisure room. Use this judiciously, take rest during lunch breaks and when u feel over worked, ill health. Well jokes apart, if you are a smoker, chill out with cigarette. If you are a nonsmoker, chill out with a T/Coffee. And if none is your habit, indulge in office gossiping with your close friend....nd enjoy the work.... |

The sleepiness in the day is due to (1) Taking heavy meal in the day. (2)Sleepless nights by watching TV and addicted to internet browsing in the night. So avoid this. Prevention is better than cure. |

We indians tend to go heavy on the lunch especially more so when we have company with us. To avoid sleepiness, take salads and sprouts and finish of with come coffee with less sugar. Out go the pizzas, biryanis and fruit juices. No, not even the curd rice or sambar rice that the southies like to have because of the heat. A light stomach does ensure you retain that spring in your step and if at all you still feel sleepy, head for the washroom and splash nice, cold water in your eyes.

Sleepiness is normally due to excess concentration (one extremity) or lack of ineterest (Other extermity). So distorting ourself from the job once in a while by at least gazing at a distant object Or changing our posture deliberately would rejuvenate all vigor and refresh the body to work for another short while. This will certainly help to avoid sleepiness during the day's work.
