With recession prevailing I see more and more people getting laid off daily , which has create a fear among the people. I think living and working with fear of layoff is worst than being laid off because with the fear employee won't be able to give their 100% which creates a loss situation for the both...

Please give tips for those who are facing the fear of layoff...

Thank you for helping others

Become visible

idea posted by Navin Chand Project Manager, Interra Information Technologies

This doesn't mean you become visible showing your fear to the management and asking them to kick you out before you are actually laid off. Instead first remove you fear as mentioned by Mr.Hussian and then become visible to the management, the upper management, customer and others whose opinion cost. Make sure to keep your fear aside and show them you are capable of handling the situation.

Good Luck,

Regards,

Navin Chand

Contribute More

No organization wants to lay off people who are contributing. If you are good enough you will not be laid off. So contribute more to the organization and be proactive. Don't mind being laborious and sacrificing.

It is said that what you fear of you will become that, So if you are in fear of layoff, you might actually get laid off because of this...So make sure that others don't sense that fear in fear...This could help you save your current job...Also try to look confident and smile always...Having a  positive attitude will get you out of fear..

When you smile people or the mangement won't sense that fear in you which you had and won't sack you out...Remember they don't want to work with someone who can create a problem for the organisation but not giving their best...
