Today the technology has advanced but still we will love to watch the reruns of old tv shows, why?

We always try to relate some past events with these TV shows. We look for a sigh of relief from din and bustle of our present days. When we feel mentally disappointed we seek shelter of sweeter events of our past. Forgotten past is even sweeter; as "heard melodies are sweet but those unheard are sweeter".

I have a very unorthodox view.The technological advancement leads us to believe us in to total disbelieving. The old script or sitcoms, movies affords us room for innovation and contemplation.

Technology may get advanced but the happiness from the simple things is precious and so is old TV shows.

May be because this is what we want to have. Today's realty shows have one thing in common.. no theme.. so, of course, content matters.

There is no other option but to enjoy the most what you have been always enjoying, so reruns of old TV shows atleast bring back the old good memories to go with the present unnatural kind of entertainment. infact, old is gold, we still go back to 1983 world cup victory in cricket to cheer the indian team of the present generation. so overall I would say its a association and reunion of thoughts that runs in everybodies mind.

What we see today is the remake or copy of these original which had make us laugh and cry in the same time and everything was innocent like content, story, comedy, acting and most important us…. It not only reminds us of our childhood or past memories but also our innocence what today we have lost ….. It reminds us of our self what we were and what we are today………..

for any kind of innovative technology to excel whether it may be an old idea or new one, its always the fundamentals upon which the entire structure is built. therefore in my point of view, its the fundamentals which gets my attraction rather than past or future.......

this metter totally depended on viewer views becouse viewer watch any tpye program ,this program rating is also high nd program running succesfully . viewers not watch program so progaram rating is also low than channel also stop program tellicasting.

Success of any technology depend to their customers 1) Awareness 2) reach 2)pocket 3)convenient. if we understand what the meaning of these four words to customer then we realize why still people loving watching old TV shows.

Earlier Programs were good and added value to society .Though some of the newer programs add value the whole lot is commercially driven and even if technology has improved the mind cannot retain a host of thousands of programs that emanate from 100 s of TV programs.Many cant even remember what are the TV channels too. I for one remember the chitrahar program that has multi lingual program of songs with vedio clippings was very famous some 20 years before and all those wonderful old movies in may languages are recalled by many.Lets us ask some younger generation people as to how programs they remember today ? i can say many programs die a natural death because of content quality and more than that the ethics. Even now except for soe many live on ethics and live and let live principle and hence good programs if with good ethics without much commercialism comes in would be appreciated and would be remembered by many in the years to come.

yes i agree with ms.shweta and mr. virag old program or tv shows/ channels we can't forget. we always remember old movies like sholey , amer prem ... but new movies we forget very fastly. we always listen to give refreshment from old songs not all new songs

content always matters.. today also for people with intellect... Rest west affected public is also present which watch just for show off even if they don't like...

The organizations are calling off their products , and substitute for the default pieces - Does it raise a question on the product reliability and what about consumer confidence

i like something very good to watch from past

Obviously whether it's new or old content is the main aspect. I'll give you the meaning of the words of great sanskrit poet kalidasa. He says, Nothing is good just because of being good as well as nothing is wrong just because of being new. In every aspect we should analyze the contents and then should come to a conclusion. How true it is!!!

May b coz der may b loads of memories related to old shows. Time changes, along wid dat human beings too. But momories are always everlasting..

The more one hears a song, the more appealing it becomes (for some classical, for some western and other loud ones and for some both). And the basic tendendency of man is being comfortable around familiar things. Yesterday's songs will be appealing to me. And today's songs will be appealing to my childen.

Today's TV serials are mundane and lacks the message to convey to the audience. there is no intriguity or contemplation or for the audience to ponder about any storyline. the old tv shows had lot of sensitivity and senusality was expressed or conveyed more in the silent way. the decorm and characters who played that role exhibited or conveyed the message and meaning in the right way. Unlike in today's serials you find characters barely clad and exposure of heavy jewellary, its more glamour and physical display of emotions..thats too sloppy and makes one to turn off the showws.

... and so on

There is not enough matter and content in modern day serials and movies. Only "new" thing there is a lot of body-body contact, violence and a free use of abuse and expletives. This is missing from the older generation stuff. There was also content, story and theme. The camera could pan on the hero/heroines face for a full period of 15-30 seconds and they could hold the expression. Todays actors cannot. There is no intrinsic beauty ar capability in topdays people

People like changes. There are lots of differences in the lines of technology between old shows and new ones.
