Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore. it does not matter much.  What matters is that we have lost over 30 days even to decide on the venue.  I believe in proper plan to make a contribution to the event.  We could call off or rule out mid august, if we do not come to a consenses and start making practical efforts.

What is so big about a venue, after all, for this theme?  Please give importance on how much money we can rise.  We should give importance to how many people would come there and how to take care of their hospitality.  We should give importance to what we can achieve ot of the gathering.   Being a professional gathering, it would not look nice, if there is lacunae in our arrangements and approach.

Sujit Kumar, you seem to have no regard for members(persons in senior positions) at Toostep. As an experienced auditor I am very observant and I could not miss this stupid idea you put up.

Are you making fun of the TOOSTEP MEET? Is there a 32 March in your calendar?

I agree with Mr. Vickter's suggestion.  Sometimes one has a tendency of developing obsession (abnormal preoccupation) of the mind.  This leads to  careless remarks or comments.  Care taken in reviewing such statements before communicating with recepients, will enable him to be coherent. Sometimes it causes uncontrollable  reaction in the minds of  recipients, due to totally illogical statements made.  This leads to annoyance and insurmountable agony, and suspicion arises whether they are being exploited or taken for a ride. A good example is spam messages. The best remedy would be to ignore such statements as un-digestible.  Broadly speaking Too step can have some guidelines for members to reciprocate with their views, ideas or comments, confining to relevant subject and be cognizant about the matter.  In one way Ms Devi Kaladeen has dwelled on this subject in a befitting manner and shall be a eye openor not only to Mr. Sujit Kumar, but also to all Too step members in principle.

Some people are plain stupid, and then there are some who have to prove they are stupid. Such people are best ignored. God, forgive them for they do not know what they do.

Let each zone decide

idea posted by Viktor Stephen COO, I Entrepreneur

Set up 4 zones (East, West, North and South). Let the West Zone have its HO at Mumbai, the North Zone at Delhi, The South zone at Chennai and East at Kolkatta.

Let each zone decide its own venue and date.

The zones can also setup their own agenda and calendar.

Lets have each zone meeting seperately but with a common agenda.  Later the MOM of the meeting at various places can be published here in toostep.

idea posted by Raghu Kastury Principal Consultant & Head of Strategic Business Unit - Retail & Distribution, Sundaram Infotech Solutions Limited

Dear folks,

We are taking a lot of time for each of the decisions. At this rate we may not be able to come to a conclusion in time.

My recommendation is to elect one or 2 persons who have event management experience and let the experts do the job. We can remunerate them for the time spent on this.

As a first step let us all meet once. During that meet, we can decide about zones and periodicity.

Finally and most importantly, I have seen someone mentioning 32nd March 2010. This particular community in toostep is for serious professionals who would like to develop profssionally, with a focus.

For fun, entertainment and humor we can get into relevant communities or let us have embedded fun that does not destroy enthusiasm from the main objective of the discussion.

why mumbai and Bangalore only .Start from the capital.  go all 4 major cities from delhi to mumbai, kolkata to bangalore..

Add your argument:

August 15th and 16th at Hampi, Hospet in Karnataka

idea posted by SR Sham Sunder CEO/MD/Director Technoaid

I think we should choose a place which is not too costly to conduct.  That way, even Mysore would be better.  I can assist if any of these two places are voted for.  Those who want to travel by air, may find Hampi difficult.  But it is also a good place to visit. It is well connected by train.

Mysore is easy to reach.  We can reach Bangalore and then it is a two-hour drive.

In any case, we should consider sponsorship.  We should simultaneously open up the sponsorship idea contest.  The sponsor may suggest places too!!

Early decision to have Too step summit

idea posted by V G Sundar Kumar Consultant, Sri Balaji Maintenance Services & Freelance Recruiter.

I feel somewhere we are on the wrong path.  The idea of the Too step summit was suggested more than a month back.  When the dates and venue are decided a lot of other work remains to be done like sponsorship, who and how many to participate, arrangement of tickets, transfer & accommodation, stay, venue, timings, participation of dignitaries & press, advertisements and other related works.  I am of opinion the earliest date of the summit would be possible in August and not July.  My suggestion is that we can elect a Convener. The views of Too step members have been elaborately and exhaustively ascertained.  Now it can be left to the Convener, a highly knowledgeable person who can liaise directly with different cities and nominate the participants and also the facilitators if required, who can assist the participants for their confirmed participation.  It is really not possible to have many probable dates and consider the one which enables all the participants to reach the venue.  For some it may be convenient and for some it may be inconvenient.  In case of such exigency, the participant can nominate the next competent person to participate.  If necessary the participant who is not able to make it could sent a synopsis of the issues which have to be discussed at the summit. The Convener should liaise with the venue Facilitator (who can have assistants), participants and also event management agencies, if assisting, for all the arrangements to be appropriately done in the chosen venue.

I may be wrong on the above suggestions. I appreciate the learned members to come out with better ideas immediately, and put an end to all ambiguities which might make the members become exasperate.

Hi,

It is definitely a interesting thing to meet in person with so many other people. Good. Unity in Diversity! A feel of belongingness ! Something new done as apart from Orkutting! And meeting the unknown people ( Virtual known though!).

Out of Curiousity and without killing the cat. Any other solid plans of the meet. Like any discussions ? Initiatives ? While so much of professional and experienced brains meeting together will be defnitely worth while and also will be a Unique one if we all can set ourselves some goals , some challenges , Some to dos and things, which will encourage us to come back , discuss and decide again.

In short , i feeel with a objective we can make this process a cycle , rather than a single time single day event.

What u said is correct, i think after deciding the venue and date,  guys will be narrowing down about the fund, sponsors, conf hall and topics to discuss..

Toostep is very popular for knowledge flow and debates, so my suggestion is lets start off with industry quiz show then later we can tag ourself as networking event/ business club

comments are welcome

Regards,

Karthick
