People expect the Internet to be fast. If your server is slow or use graphics that take two minutes to download, you can say goodbye to your potential customers. To market yourself effectively, you need to put your information in front of people quickly. So, making them wait can make your business wait for years....

In this fast track life nobody likes to wait on top of this if the internet is slow one will loose all interest and close the window the net result loss of customers and this does not stop here in case of fault word of mouth publicity make the site worse so you loose all.

1. Asides being responsive the site should be friendly with options.

2. The site management should be able to and alert in locating customer in difficulty and reach out for help sooner the better.

Imagine yourself trying to do an activity on a unresponsive site or imagine writing after a lot of difficulty yet getting no response whatsoever etc...

Whence, a company tries to wear the shoes of customer the clarity begins.

You are right Meena, if you make your users wait then they will go somewhere else & never come back.

Be very careful with whom you align yourself. Some spammers and spyware companies operate co-registration and affiliate programs that violate the CAN-SPAM act and other rules and regulations.

Before you sign an agreement with any third party, investigate your potential partner and be sure they are operating above board.

Don't talk to everyone...deal with individuals. I believe in automating as much of the sales process as possible, but there still comes the time that you have to deal with people like people. We run the numbers on our sales statistics, but people are not just numbers. Always remember the human element. Those aren't just email addresses out there. They are real live individuals who have wants, needs, and desires just like you. Deal with them that way. Be willing to help...Be willing to give away free information...Give away free samples...Be someone that people like.

The internet itself is here to crunch information into essential and the most important at the click of a button. This being the case mosgt marketers write yards of copy and present it to the user as a result of which the trend is to skip the very page. With heavy copy comes the problem of slow downloads which again prompts the user to navigate away to another page.

The internet today is like the television. A page or an ad should catch the readers attention span the minute he or she logs on or gets access to that page whether by chance or by reach. If in that split second it doesnt hold their attention then the chance is lost. Also the medium has to be used as creatively as possible keeping in mind that download speed's in india are still hovering around the 256 KB mark or sometimes even worse.

Thanks Sushanttomar. Secondly, certain brands add a tag conveying the message that it may not be construed as that of the visual shown (attractive in appeal) and the actual delivered may have variations. This leads to suspectibality of negative impact to the target audience.

In any sales/marketing strategy, the message is actually directed to make the actual need to purchase. Here in internet marketing this is impossible because only generalised interest is known like 'reading' or new products. The former interest doesnot mean the person is interested to read psychological periodicals,

Look it is marketing only. The thing is only the medium has changed. So the rules will also change slightly. Basically the rules of marketing will apply. You have to be responsive, alert, friendly, knowlegeable, have good communication skills keeping in mind prospect cant see you, up dated, competitive, knowing the market well, is a good psychologist and feels responsibility towards the society.
