Look Inside Your Company

idea posted by Priyanka Dixit HR Executive, Leading IT services

Providing promotional and lateral opportunities for current employees positively boosts morale and makes your current staff members feel their talents, capabilities, and accomplishments are appreciated.

Always post positions internally first. Give potential candidates an interview. It's a chance for you to know them better. They learn more about the goals and needs of the organization. Sometimes, a good fit is found between your needs and theirs.

Involve Your Employees in the Hiring Process

idea posted by Jyoti Kapoor HR Manager, Cybage Software

You have three opportunities to involve your employees in the hiring process.

    * Your employees can recommend excellent candidates to your firm.
    * They can assist you to review resumes and qualifications of potential candidates.
    * They can help you interview people to assess their potential "fit" within your company.

Organizations that fail to use employees to assess potential employees are underutilizing one of their most important assets. People who participate in the selection process are committed to helping the new employee succeed. It can't get any better than that for you and the new employee.

absolutely right because some experience and a new talent can find the similarities in a new candidate which would help the organization as well as the employee internal relationship which is beneficial for everyone.

Assess what your Company Wants

idea posted by Michael Daniel Resource Consultant, Concorde Management Consultants

I agree that its a good idea of involving employees of your own company to recommend few references but most importantly when you recruit somebody then you should always keep his/her interest and expertise of field in mind..

Most of them ignore this point and just try to fit them according to them with the negotiation of salary..

This trend should be changed..

this is right because the basic criteria required cannot be overseen because of employee reference. i agree with this fact because is if the work done is not the goal expected then the work done is job wasted.

so u need to have the right reference and the right person

First think about your company needs & secondly think what employees would expect from your company ?

idea posted by Nilay Oza Software Developer, Logical Solutions

May seem funny but it is important to think what is reputation of your company in market and what employee would expect from your organisation. Because as an HR you should think from both the side. Company needs employee & vice varsa
