Once a woman knows about her democratic and social rights,,,, besides adding income to the home... she'll always get agianst voilence, but if she remain uneducated or dependent she is always vulnerable to the voilence.... therfore lets educate her to defend herself.... |

I agree wih educating women it brings to their awareness the legal , social and moral rights , which when violated , women can claim them . I'd also like to add that along with educating , women should be empowered . Empowered to take their own decisions , empowered to free themselves from the pressures of the society and finally empowered to lead a life without being a victim of violence . The male dominism that a Indian women have long suffered under should be eliminated which is possible only with education.
We need to conduct a good number of advocacy campaigns to educate them. I would like to share how Ms. Aruna Roy lived upto the expectations of many deprived. Aruna Roy (born 26 May 1946) is an Indian political and social activist who founded and heads the Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathana ("Workers and Peasants Strength Union"). She is best known as a prominent leader of the Right to Information movement, which led to the enactment of the Right to Information Act in 2005.[1] She has also remained a member of the National Advisory Council.[2] In 2000, she received the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Community Leadership.[3] In 2010 she received the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence in Public Administration, Academia and Management. We need more people to join this movement, then only we will escape from this malady!
we must educate women regarding the different rights which are available for her and also increase her mental and physical confidence to deal with any kind of situations. even if accidentally she had to face troubles, she should use her maximum effort to fight against anyone and acheive justice and show people that this will be result if violence is done against women . They will be destroyed to the core. And the punishments given by the law should be justifiable and stunning.

According to me it is crucial to address the root causes of violence by eradicating discrimination and changing the mindset of people that reinforces prejudice, Countries should place strong laws, action plans, preventative measures, data collection like act on each and every case reported and systematic measures to address Physical & sexual violence, people forget that Women around the world are the very linchpin who keep intact the families & communities. |

I fully support your idia, in addition to that if the community could able to make more aware of her rights and previleges and if women gets educated at par with men, I think such a voilences against them will be in controle .
As with anything that one needs to solve, the root cause is elementary. Finding the root cause due to which women are still subjected to violence, and then working to eliminate the root cause, according to me, is the way to approach this issue.
Educating men and women, bringing up women and men to understand that there are no superiors or inferiors, being fair to both the sexes, providing equal opportunities and encouraging merit are all things we can and should do. However, the mental orientation of women and violence needs to be addressed. The fact that even a few people think violence as a 'just' punishment [now here I am no longer focusing only on women but am including children as well], needs to be focused and addressed.
If we want to live and leave a better world for our children - let us each try, in our own way, to do what we can to address the root cause and eliminate violence...period
I support your view and idea completely Sudeep. Thanks for the referral.

In education and awareness alone can help. and not just the women, there is a need to educate men too.

I agree with your point. It requires educating both men and women to tackle this issue. Men should be taught how to behave with women in the public. Women should be taught how to understand the man by his way of interaction with the public.

the gender discrimination issues cannot be solved in matter of days ,it need an long term establishment for backing the cause such as filling of cases of rapes ,molestations or other heinious crimes commited against women .but the moot point lies in their is that how many womens would come up in open to voice their devastation ,the number is minisicule of those who would like to take it to authorities and ignore the social stigma .the change is required at grass root level until our society doesn't accept women at par level with their male counterparts (which doesn't persists in west either) this will remain as it is.grooming plays another crucial role in enforcing such mentality. |

I personally feel women who are successful today have been positively encouraged from the very begining and hence, what they are today and know how to fight back. Therefore, if a women from her being a young girl is known about her strengths and her equal rights when compared to men/boy.... we can reduce such nuisance/happenings to greater extent. However, mere just telling or listening would not solve this problem. Great efforts have to be shown. Also for this, girls education too plays a very vital role. Which i feel rural sector has to be well targeted for eliminating such violence. .... Thank you, Manish N Cheers!! |

Till when a women won't stand up for herself nothing else will help. Educating a women may not be in her own hands but standing for her rights should be. Nothing can stand in front of a strongly determined women.

women can stand up for themselves only if they are educated and well aware of their respective rights.. which brings us back to point 1
|
|
If we look at the statistics provided by our own National Crime Record Bureau its really alarming. Especially women in Rural area have considered the violence as ‘noting special’ and it’s the part of life. Of course we can suggest many things to root out this problem including strict legislation, strong enforcement of law etc. But we need to prevent the cause. Women themselves are the only people can mitigate this inhuman act. The problem with our women is ‘accepting’ the violence and lack of information. I think strengthening the Self Help Groups of women, providing information about the rights of the women and their entitlements will solve the problem to the large extent. At the end of the day its awareness and education to the women matters a lot. |

@ Abhishekh He has clearly explained the differnce between an enterpuener and an owner.. But the problem of the debate is that we fall in neither as we are not into business.. But if he asks that what you wanna be.. I would love to be an enterpuener..... |
Believers believe and non-believers don't . No one can tell what will happen tomorrow but we want to get assurity which makes us feel more secure and so we want to believe in it. All the astrologers are taking advantage of this mentality. |
