Value of life in a Society Value of life in a society and the efficiency of labor it generates is ascertained by the amount of ‘welfare’ the society provides for the citizen. Welfare is maximised when there are no ‘contingencies’, ‘surprises’ or ‘blackswans’ appearing in their daily lives. This can be achieved by incorporating ‘revealed preferences’ or near forseeability in their daily transactions. ‘Revealed preferences’ is a welfare theory oriented economic concept from which a person can make decisions based on outcomes and functionality visible prior to the decisions. This is achieved again from ‘game theoretic’ application of ‘maximising payoffs’ for the citizen and at the same time ‘reducing regrets’ of living in a society. Transactions are sent through a process called ‘lottereying’ where by the probability of ‘outcomes’ of an event or transactions is close to 1, thus the ‘utility maximizing’ needs of the citizen are met from choices made form ‘revealed preferences’ |

Mr. Muralidharan, when we place any value other than economic values to run a nations processes, like transcendentals or divine we degenerate into metaphysics and our economy degenerates to communal systems and existence.
Society makes resource allocations based on the value of life. Whether we like it or not, we make decisions based on the value of our life, every now and then. The true value of human being is intrinsic. Human life is precious and worth protecting and sustaining because of the values placed upon it by a transcendent sources apart from each person's health status, maturity, intelligence, race, abilities, etc. Our society has shifted to a quality of life mentality and has lost sight of the value and sacredness of all human life.
