the European union, Canada and Japan joined the Kyoto environmental protocol to reduce the carbon emission. this carbon emission can be greatly reduced by using stainless steel usage which is 100% recyclable. about 45% of carbon is being consumed by the transport sector. at this juncture the automobile industries of the world should increase the usage of stainless steel which leads to the weight loss of 20% to 30%. therefore the fuel efficiency of the automobiles will increase. the stainless steel is 100% recyclable and most reliable material in auto making. this provides added customer value i.e low maintenance cost and more second hand resale value. by this automobile sector can take initiative CSR activities to preserve the environment, control the carbon emission. so my suggestion is that the automobile sector and the stainless steel industries should take in joint venture in developing the auto-grade steels and do some activity in the safety of environment, also help the people to be educated directly or indirectly in environment conservation and low carbon emission activities |
