Awesome debate going on....nice ideas and selections of the candidates for the position of Prime minister. Glad to see my friends from congress and BJP putting forward their choice of Prime minister. Well coming on to the topic..I prefer Manmohan Singh as the prime minister for 3rd consecutive time..reasons- 1- One of the world's biggest economist- as an economist he is an asset for developing country like India. He is the one who actually changed the structure of indian economy after 1991. Our economy is growing at the pace of 7 to 8 percent per annum. Huge FDIs in various sectors, boom in BPO sector is all because of his out of box thinking. 2- A calm politician with broad vision- as a politician Manmohan singh have been calm and composite..his working schedule shows his nature..i have closely watched him..and according to his close friends he works for 13 hours a day...i dnt knw how many of u take it seriously but this is true... 3- A politician with clean image and impressive personality, he has never been indulge in abusing or misusing words or in any bad debate like many other candidates of PM post have been. 4- No cases or charges till date against him, other candidates specially from BJP..mr advani..still cases are open against him in ayodhya issue, narendra modi for godhara riots, who is answerable to victims of godhara riots, and fake encounter of saurabuddin, 5- Achievements...- Indo Us nuclear deal, making strong lobby for seat in security council, handled country well during recession, development in north east region where non of bjp led government ever put focus, forcing china to accept sikkim dispute free Indian territory...,providing j and k a stable political system, improving the bilateral ties specially with USA in context to pakistan and own strategic position, ties with african countries to get better hold of african region, ties with tajakistan for making a military and air command, defence deals like 6 transport aircrafts c130 hercules from usa, signed deal for joint development of fifth generation fighter jets..signed deal for 1000 light weight howritzers with USA. Etc are his and his govt achievements in various fields. He has given equal importance to country's every aspect and i think he deserve another term as prime minister.

BJP in favour of giving dual citizenship to NRIs
The BJP is in favour of giving dual citizenship to Non- Resident Indians, its president Nitin Gadkari has said. We are for dual citizenship to be given to NRIs. That is an assurance made by former Prime Minister Vajpayee and India can take advantage of NRIs in accelerating the progress in India,Gadkari told newspersons here last evening......

BJP MP found a new use for Indian Passport just for Rs 30 lakhs
Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Parliament Babu Bhai Katara was arrested at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Wednesday on the charge of trying to take a woman and a teenaged boy to Canada on the passports of his wife and son.
A case has been registered against the three under Sections 419 (cheating by personation), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
Police said Mr. Katara was detained along with the 38-year-old woman and the 16-year-old boy, after Air India staff found that the picture on the diplomatic passport, issued in the name of Mr. Katara's wife Sharadaben B. Katara, did not match with the woman with him. It was also found that the boy had the passport of Rajesh, son of Mr. Katara.
The three were scheduled to board the Toronto-bound flight of Air India AI-187 at 7-30 a.m.
The woman during interrogation by Immigration officials, she purportedly told them that she paid Rs. 30 lakh to the MP to take her to Canada.
"The deal was purportedly struck by Mr. Katara's secretary Rajender, who came to see off the three at the airport and left well before the fraud came to light," said a senior police officer at the Airport police station.

Wonderful in international diplomacy! Talks silly gibberish and others will not be able to respond. Only Indian voice will be heard in international forum. Also remember he is a scientist, environmentalist, zoologist, botanist, nuclear expert. Any other qualities wanted, he will cook it up in a matter of minutes. Nandan Nilekani is a young Capable proven Successful Professional who has delivered in the past in building and running a large enterprise which made India proud. He is one of the very few who have exited gracefully allowing other to take on and build further. Even Narayan Murthy would qualify in all respects, but my preference for Nandan is only because he is younger to Narayan Murthy and can very well involve even Narayan Murthy in the process of Nation Building along with him. One primary reason we need a person like him for the job is, we as Indians have learnt to live with filth and are comfortable in status quo. We have a habit of saying atleast its not so bad or as bad as something else and such instead of saying and working towards being the best. This change to come into India we need a change both Top down and bottom up. In top if we bring people like Nandan, we can hope to see change coming over next 5 to 7 years and each Indian can set a higher goal for oneself. Cheers! |

Glad to see my friends from congress and BJP putting forward their choice of Prime minister.
Well coming on to the topic..I prefer Manmohan Singh as the prime minister for 3rd consecutive time..reasons-
1- One of the world's biggest economist- as an economist he is an asset for developing country like India. He is the one who actually changed the structure of indian economy after 1991. Our economy is growing at the pace of 7 to 8 percent per annum. Huge FDIs in various sectors, boom in BPO sector is all because of his out of box thinking.
2- A calm politician with broad vision- as a politician Manmohan singh have been calm and composite..his working schedule shows his nature..i have closely watched him..and according to his close friends he works for 13 hours a day...i dnt knw how many of u take it seriously but this is true...
3- A politician with clean image and impressive personality, he has never been indulge in abusing or misusing words or in any bad debate like many other candidates of PM post have been.
4- No cases or charges till date against him, other candidates specially from BJP..mr advani..still cases are open against him in ayodhya issue, narendra modi for godhara riots, who is answerable to victims of godhara riots, and fake encounter of saurabuddin,
5- Achievements...- Indo Us nuclear deal, making strong lobby for seat in security council, handled country well during recession, development in north east region where non of bjp led government ever put focus, forcing china to accept sikkim dispute free Indian territory...,providing j and k a stable political system, improving the bilateral ties specially with USA in context to pakistan and own strategic position, ties with african countries to get better hold of african region, ties with tajakistan for making a military and air command, defence deals like 6 transport aircrafts c130 hercules from usa, signed deal for joint development of fifth generation fighter jets..signed deal for 1000 light weight howritzers with USA. Etc are his and his govt achievements in various fields.
He has given equal importance to country's every aspect and i think he deserve another term as prime minister.

Regarding Mr Khaitan..I would like to tell my senior and respect khaitan sir...this is not at all possible to provide free medical services to a country of more than a billion people. It is not feasible to limit cricket because BCCI is one of the high income tax payer, there are jobs in our country and emple jobs but there is no suitable manforce for those jobs... Well ending corruption in a month looks like a joke yes you can say that you will try to minimise corruption but i don't think anyone here will be agreed with this point. Putting Indian economy on fast track- Sir i would like to know 8 percent annual economic growth rate second best after China 9 percent...in the world do you still think Indian economy is on slow track. i hardly think so even in recession our economic growth was 7.5 percent ....yes you can improve it further but not call it slow paced... No competitive exams- there are no such exams till 12th standard and also in normal graduation courses in most states universities there are no exams. You say you will end system of competitive exams. It is not at all feasible sir, to get best of doctors, engineers, and managers we need these exams. You can not make a person doctor who is just passing exam on pass percent and is not suitable for doctor...well regarding the tax free economy, i request you to please first focus on fiscal and monetry deficiet of our economy ....its not possible to ensure smooth flow of surplus revenue without controlling our deficiets.... Sir your ambitions are high and attractive like our leaders but i can only say....its not easy as it seems and your promises are good but base less and plan less.... I want everyone to get serious on debate rather than attacking someone personally.. To mr.khaitan my all points are not to attack ur idea and you personally these are just 20 percent evaluation of ur promises with actually reality.... I think the present system of goverement formation is not very good with growth view point as most of the time our hard money spent in negotaitions to save goverment. can't we have open election for prime minister and then he will pick the related experts to run the natin in place of elected members of parliament. Or second choice that all parties should contribute in governmanet formation based on there proportion of MPs. That way we can ensure that entire nation will grow uniformly. This is just a idae. Because in india voting is noarmally below 50%. And so called educated people keep themselves away from voting. So influence on voting is mainly by portion of population which we think uneducated or villagers. Also now a days caste politics is on its paek. We have seen amny time that our parliament is not doing enough for growth but they overdo for votebank politics. reservation is a vital example. SC ruled out the reservation but governmant and all MPs wanted this and somehow they did it. So we must think of something different that can work and work only for nation instead of individuals or groups. |

This election will be a turning point in Indian politics in which both BJP
and Congress would suffer heavy loss and hence will have lesser say in formation
of Central Government.
With the entry of large number of Independents in the fray, votes of other than the hard core party followers will be divided between the National parties (BJP & Congress), the regional parties and Independents.
Future of the country's politics will be decided by how various regional parties get grouped together themselves to form the government with or without support of one or the other national parties.
The outcome of such coalition will surely depend on common acceptance,
initially of P.M and then the Ministers from various parties in
the coalition. It will not be surprising that there will be many PMs, Deputy
PMs and panel of ministers in rotation during the tenure. If it happens to be ten
party coalition, we may see a new P.M and panel of Ministers in every six
months. We will have dozens of PMs in waiting and every MP in the coalition will be a minister in waiting. (May God save this country)
So let us forget this idea of speculating various names, for the time being.

Only problem with them is they had frittered away the great opportunity they had in 2009 General Elections - they could not bind their own cadre then, each stretching to their own ideologies, factions could be seen, etc.! They really have to look for fresh faces to garner 65% of youth vote in the next general election 2014.
