FIRST QUALITY must BEGIN from MIND of the person doing the job then comes all other ways how to ensure. Mostly its observed that the person performing job is not quality conscious. |

Although having a quality department is a good idea but implementing Total Quality Management would make the process more effective. As defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO): |

I think that Quality control tests and inspections are a great way to help ensure the quality of the products.A company can hire a production worker who has regular assigned tasks, with
quality control as an additional task. By training this way, company not
only will be able to get two things done with the same employee, but they will
also save money which is doubly profitable for them. |

Definitely, but instead of looking to hire a person with a knowledge/experience on the quality assurance side, the company should focus on hiring and then training a person on the quality management. Also attaching importance to the job by announcing the best team to practice quality objectives across the company or so on a yearly basis.

stable and sustained process for any manufacturing gives maximum/desired quality level to any product.before this, there is a need of perfect FMEA in all levels i.e.from design to finished goods and a subsequent control plan will become essential.besides all these basics, there are lot of supporting characters like PMI, OEE, 5S, TPM, CIP,LERNSTATs etc., for sustain and durable production processes. |

In my view the quality of the product shall be ensured not only at finished stage but during the finish of each and every operations it passes through. Quality of the product should be ensured by the production people rather than the Quality Inspector/Supervisors in the Shopfloor. The machine/process operator have to ensure the quality before the job leave from his bay to the next operation/process. The management shall take necessary actions to make the operators to realise their responsibility of delivering quality products to next process and the customers. |

Quality control should be developed in attitude and not by external force. Implementing Quality control tools (like Kanban, 5s, 6s...) is just not enough to see a stable quality, working hard to reach the top quality is necessary. When you get to a point, benchmark yourself and improvise again.

I think this is not a new thing for employees, many of the sales people in India are being tracked by GPS systems given to them to know their whereabouts when their are doing their work, and I am really feeling sorry for all the employees who will be... |
I don't think that. We have examples like Ratan TATA who develops the whole area where he sets up any of his factories and even gives pensions to its employees. Also takes care of their families. Aren't they true nationalists? |
I don't agree with you Neelima, Might be we have been negligent and slow enough in helping many socially troubled people but it is not an excuse to blame the whole government as exploiter. The cases which doesn't get solved are because of the... |
