They say consumer is the king, and that is very much evident from a plethora of choices which are available to the people world-wide. The bad point of this abundance however; is, that a person generally finds himself at loggerheads with his heart and mind, eventually ending up confused with all the options available. It’s no hidden fact that Internet is no more restricted to the research agencies, student bodies and libraries; it now is accessible by millions of people from the comfort of their homes and offices. A prerequisite for that is a web browser which enables a person to access the World Wide Web.

The most commonly available browsers are Microsoft’s Internet explorer 9, Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari by Apple, etc.  A perpetual endeavor to bring out innovations has brought out a competitive edge among these browsers. The Microsoft’s Internet Explorer has always held a dominant share in the web browser market but it had started to fade against a strong competition from Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome owing to its lack of support for web standards. However, with the latest entrant IE9 from its side, Microsoft has placed a heavy focus on web standards and speeds by embracing HTML5 and CSS3 and has made its presence unfaltering again.

Among so many browsers that are there, who do you think  can capture the 1st rank?

I think they are the best when it comes to the browser experience, everything is simple here..though IE was dominant till now, but its fading fast with increasing competition from many others like chrome, opera, safari, firefox etc...I still remember the days when we used to have only 2 web browsers the IE and the Netscape. Now we have a whole range of it and I have to say Firefox is the best, and  their updates are also real fast and gives users a hassle free experience while browsing.

I have worked on IE, Opera, Chrome and Firefox, and I found Firefox the best. It is simple, fast and easy to use. It prevents your system from online threats, assuring maximum protection as compared to other browsers. It is awesome.

Microsoft Internet Explorer is still the King

People keep saying bad things about IE, just because its a microsoft product. But I still beleive that IE is going to top the charts in the forseeable future. The best thing about IE is that it comes bundled with the operating system. There is no need to downaload and install it separately. Hence for a normal end user, this would comtinue to be the browser of choice. If you look at it from the functionality perspective as well, it is at par with any other browser in the market.

So for me... its IE.....

It depends on, for which browser the website is tested before launching and ideal to work with. Each interactive website is ideal to work with a set of browsers, only a few sites and search engines are the exceptions. However, viewing and simple browsing is possible, more or less in all browsers.

Chrome is the best browser around. It is faster, and safer. Mozilla comes up with loopholes ... near about ... every month , but has anyone yet heard of a fault in chrome. Think............

I have worked in both. But both are better in their respective platforms Linus and Windows. In comparison, i found IE is still holding the top position because of its user friendliness and new security features. So, I still prefer IE
