For the past few years, Indians returning back has been constantly on rise. Around 60,000 professionals settled in U.S. have returned to India in last year alone. This is almost equal to the number of Indians going to U.S. every year. Take the IITians for example. If you see 10 years back, 90 percent of the IIT grads left India to grab opportunities in West, but now, almost 85 percent of the IIT passouts prefer to stay back in India.

What could be the reason for this drastic change?

Professional growth and families

idea posted by Disha Roy Lecturer, St Xaviers College

I think this two should be the main reasons why they come back. One is the professional growth and opportunity in an expanding Amazon India and the other is personal reason to be closer to our parents and extended families, and to have their son/daughter to be exposed to these relationships.

Thanks for the referral Ms.Disha Roy and I accept with your view. Moreover others from this side have contributed well. Besides, Indians life in west is not that much safe now a days. For security reasons they may choose to come back to India.

The basic idea of going to USA or for that matter other countries is to earn money. The people who they have gone may be two decades back are returning since they have made money and the job market has sharnk tremedously in USA and Europe & Japan hence they are returning sinct the Indian economy is on the boom and one can earn a decent salary here also with off course professional growth and also larger families.

Both are the valid reasons."AA AB LOT CHALE, NAIN BECHAYE BAHE PASARE TUJ KO PUKARE DES TERA".

When the opportunities for work is there and especially when the Home country invites you to perform on your soil, i don't think any body think twice.

Surging Indian Economy

idea posted by Mohammad Bakhsh Project Leader/Managing Consultant, Freelancer

Only a person of poor intellect will now think of migration to West. The Surging Indian Economy is sound enough reasons for IITians and others to stay back homes.

Yes U are Right  Sir, West alredy Developed part of the world hence there may not be much scope for growth.

In Asian countries, India is the emerging market hence potential and opportunities in plenty are expected.

Underdeveloped ones need some more time to be exploited.

Hence the destination is naturally India. This was first recognised by the people in the west hence they are comming first and settingup their units here followed by our Indians.

"Laddoo ab yahan banten  gey"

Some amongst us, remain forever on lookout for greener pastures......... so it brings them back to mass consumer markets.

And the smarter ones keep one leg here and another there to be able to make choices if need arises.

Reasons are many but we can conclude them in short term reason & long term. In short term we can consider the possible Financial safety in India is more than any western country. And in long term we can consider more opportunities will available in growing India then already developed countries.......

I agree with you mam and like to add another major reason, education. Education is another reason for Indians to move back. There is a common believe that Indian education system is quite good.

INSECURITY AND LABEL OF FOREGINER.

idea posted by rakeshbhatnagar GM Projects., wig brothers india pvt.ltd.

INSECURITY IS ALWAYS THERE THAT IF ANY ONE HAS TO REDUCE HIS STAFF FOREGINERS WILL BE FIRST ON THE TARGET , THIS PRESSURE OVER EMPLOYER WILL BE FROM THE GOVERMENT AS WELL AS THE EMPLOYERS UNION AND LOCAL PEOPLE ALSO.

FOR EXAMPLE NOW A DAYS IN AUSTRALIA INDIANS DON'T FEEL SAFE , ANY TIME ANY THING CAN HAPPEN THE SUFFERER OR HIS / HER FAMILY KNOWS THE COSEQUENCES .EVEN IN FOREGIN YOU CANN'T GO AND FIGHT THEIR FOR A LONG PERIOD FOR YOU LOVED ONES.
