Research the company beforehand so that you can showcase that knowledge during the interview. This will boost your credibility with the interviewer and will help you to formulate intelligent questions to ask him or her.

Gargi I agree with your statements. In addition to that, to properly prepare for and become ready for a potential job is to strategically plan and do your research. When going to a job or a job interview, preparation is always key. You should always want to minimize your chances of being caught off guard with questions or duties of the job. Research and know exactly how to get to the interview. If possible become more knowledgeable about who’ll be interviewing you. Arrive ahead of time in the office 15-30 minutes before the interview. This will give you a chance to calm down, go over things in your mind and rehearse any possible answers and questions.

Look your best and be professionally dressed, if you aren’t sure about your attire then ask someone for help. A few days before the interview get with a friend or someone to try and rehearse possible interview questions and answers. This could really help you to calm your nerves and really prepare you for the big day. Make sure that you have enough references. If you are given the chance in the interview ask the manager some questions. You really need to prepare for this part. It’s all about your strategy , planning and preparation. Every interview is a valuable learning experience so if you don‘t get this job then you‘ll be well prepared for the next one.

I have not attended any interview till now. However in many cases I have observed that people became over stressed & nervous during interview. One thing should be kept in mind that during interview you are a product & interviewer is a buyer. You have to present yourself smartly & it can only be done if you feel easy.

Gather the specific information, that is, what the company is looking for in the job sought. Try to draw the attention of the interviewer towards that void they are trying to fill and discuss what all you can do to fill the void once the discustion is directed towards that area. One need not indulge that you are aware of their need.

You should tell the truth to employer, for that you have to practice by talking frankly with your friends and family, which makes you a loyal person. It also can create positive image in front of a guy who is taking an interview.

Prior to your interview, prepare answers to common questions the interviewer is likely to ask, such as What are your strengths and weaknesses? Why do you want to work here? Why should we hire you? and the ever popular Tell me about yourself. Conduct a mock interview with a trusted friend as practice.
