As a worker you have a right to a certain amount of time off during your work shift and in between working days. So don't work more than 8 hrs a day and don't do overtime. By doing this you will be able to balance your home and work life. |

Respect to all who have commented...I agree with all your comments but apart from entertainment n cafeteria there are many more requirements. Providing and taking care of good and hygenic food in the cafeteria is also equally important. All organisations provide cafeteria but we should understand how many of them actually take care of the above factors.
Dipika Words are not enough to congratulate u . Apart from the basic rights , one has to consider how to accommodate the increasing number of population which is churning out in millions of graduates each year . The solution is to make compulsory eight hours a day and regularize all employees . Multinational and national private banks make their staff work from 9 am to 9 pm in fron office and thereafter for 2 hours in the back office . There is nothing unusual to find employees returning home at about 12 midnight . Are we not denying the new entrants their right for job . If u can't provide full time jobs absorb them as apprentice and engage them for 4 hours a day at a lesser pay . You always compare with China but that country grows owing to more buying power because of more work , thanks to strong regulation which ensures 40 hours a week job only . In India it is the reverse, few people have more money and more people have less money . That is the reason Malls are failing one after another and in the market nothing sells unless there is a SALE all through the 12 months . Pantaloons is a classic example who have some sort of SALE all the 12 months .
Hmmmm.....See cafeteria and entertaining not only be the factors........You can have nice time with ur colleagues as well.......and yes Dipika you are right please do not work more than eight hours..........
Respecting an employee is avery important.... But in many MNC's employee respect is still an question mark?
I feel this is very important for an employee to work selflessly to its full capacity.

Many of the articles in the declaration of human rights are dealing with employee rights in a workplace and in a labour market. Some the minimum basic rights are signed by your country and apply to all companies. But no rights are without obligations. Rights and obligations always come in pairs. Rights and obligation are always subject to change and interpretation. A good company has one or several policies defining the rights and obligations that emloyees and managers have. It is often a Personel policy, but in many countries it is much more complex because it is also ruled by the present and changing laws that govern the labour market and other relevant markets. Often the basic rights are very different for managers because their rights and obligations are confidential and hidden in their contracts. Usually the basic rights and obligations for a single person is a complex combination of national and international laws, national and international negotiations of trade unions and employers associations, company policies and individual contracts. This usually means that noone knows their own rights and obligations unless their manager decide to make the rights and obligations explicit and make it easy to compare them to other peoples rights and obligations. Usually this also involves the paymaent they get for their work and what they get if they are fired and so on. In an transparent society this should be easy to find in one place. But noone seems to like to talk about the obligations you have. The declaration of Human obligations was passed in the French parliament august 22, 1795. If you believe in human rights you should also believe in human obligations.

IT IS TRUE.

There should be a balance between working n relaxing mind and that could be only done by doing things which brings happiness to one's mind. If it is not done in the right proportion, it can result in abnormal functioning of the brain by doing repetitive work. |

flexible working hours are very important for a employee and there must be some facilitation in daily working hours if any urgency happened
|
|

yes it is true that future of the company can be endangered...as although the sources are many but quallity is going to decrease with increase in the expectation and the time required to fullfill those.

Written explanations are owed to employees who are discharged, demoted or
transferred. The reasons for their punishments should be clearly informed to
them in a written format. |

Depends on how HR is capable in handling those issues. It always require to give reasons based on effective analysis to find out the real cause before making such decisions.
Today many managers challenging their team members career for simple reasons to show their power.
Every terminations should be accountable to give reason for that action against an employee. MNC's should concentrate on the decissions which made by direct reporting manager's action against an team and it should be enquired clearly before execute the action.

I think it is very important to have the freedom to express your feelings at your workplace. You need to have the right to discuss and resolve issues or else it leads to misunderstandings and complications. If your boss and seniors do not hear you out, one starts getting demotivated and disinterested in the surroundings. |

Your right to know what your rights are there in a company too.so lets us be aware of the rights towards the company and our rights too by being in a company.
The responsible people in a company should give out the rules and regulations of a company and publish it transparently in the notice boards and so on .
All knowledgeable people in company should have some awareness of the company act,the employees act and the obligations of each and every responsible person at least in his or her domain.
Many have to read the company's appointment letter or the agreement one has signed for and have to read carefully understand and interpret it rightly.Mostly all the major rules are emphasized in an appointment letter.
However for many please see citehr.com for more information.

It is still not implementing by many Indian companies.

It is stated every time that "Boss is always right". My idea is that if someone in the company finds loopholes in management or at the topmost levels he must have the sufficient privileges for bringing it to notice for good. "Boss is not always right" because he is, as a human, may fall prey to mistakes and miscalculations or jurisdictional mistakes.
By this each one of the employees will have equal rights on social environment part because of the fact that employees are humans after all and will help to curb the politics played in organizations

As Mr. Amish opined, when you join an organisation you join for various reasons.
One should not forget the fact that individual career development is dependent on the organisation well being. If other things are good, be an engaged employee of the organsiation, strive for its success that reaps you rewards.
Dont become a prey for the outsider's politics and unionism. You give your best efforts wherever you work, if you are not getting recognition you ought to get, you have the option in your hand to hop. If you are a good worker, no organsiation will be ready to loose you.

An employee need to get paid what he deserve according to industrial standard. It is not good to make an employee work more and pay less. Also do not put too much of pressure on the employee than required. If he/she is not able to meet the expectation, he can be removed, but do not torture him mentally. I think these are all the basic things that has to be taken care in an organization while dealing with an employee.

Yes as per Government guidelines each employee have to work for 8 hours and not beyound that. But If company is very good and giving all the benefits to the employee, so in this case if their is the requriement for an employee to work for more than 8-hours or to stay in the company for work purpose then I think that their is no harm in doing this. But if you are working into the organisation where you are not getting any benefits and working hours is been counted on the point of clock and it is compulsory to do 8-hours completely then their is no need to wait for even a single minutes after 8-hours gets completed. As soon as an employee completes his 8-hours shift he should log-off the system and can run home.If their is the requriement to wait for more then 8-hours then an employee should not wait. The best example of this is Zenith INfotech Ltd, Mumbai Branch, MIDC, Andheri (E). Here each individual employee work for 8.30 mins shift and we don't have any any kind of benefits like ta,da,esic,pf etc.
It is my humble request to those who are not aware about this company please don't join this Organization ever in the life.
Thank you,
Ratnadeep.G.M

When you join a company you join for various reasons amongst is the prestige that adds on to your CV or status. And if you do not get any, you are wont to quit. So i feel that if you do not get the right kind of respect, you have a reason to battle it out and if it still does not yield any response, you better join another company where you get respect. Because ultiamtely if you do not get respect from your own, your customers, or external world will not and thereafter you will not be able to be effective in your position and deliver the satisfying results.

We can do nothing in front of boss but yes we can find a better job and leave such bosses to cry alone! |
Many of us believe that getting up early and starting the day with sunrise makes us more productive. Is anyone against this thought. If yes then why and if no then why is the question. In the end we need to do things which make us more productive... |
Your life at work might be the better than what it used to be at some other place. But still you might not be happy. What can be the reason? Well, there can be many and half of them would be just in your mind. What are the thoughts which destroy... |
