Providing exceptional service that goes beyond anything they have seen before will soon result in referrals and new business. So if your product is something which your customers also tell others and influence them to buy it...its more than enough....no marketing strategt will reward you benefits like the WOM does.. |

Word of Mouth marketing has been in use for a long time even though people may not have realized it. Word of mouth is a reference to the passing of information from person to person and which includes any type of human communication, such as face-to-face, telephone, email, and text messaging.
Word of mouth marketing also adds credibility to the product as people generally believe that the person does not get any incentive for making these statements.....

The number people going for impulsive buying is going higher. These buyers do not wait for others to influence their buying behavior. But Indian customers are still in that era of "believing what they hear". Hence i must say that it depends on products that is being sold, for any FMCG consumables WOM is best strategy. But for electreonics goods and durables promos and ads are the best available options |

As every product and service has different attributes which is liked by consumer and consumer behaviour also varies with the market potential and Indian market is quite complex when we talk about consumer behaviour because of the gaps in economic conditions of consumer, I think we have the world largest middle class society but still it can be categorised owing to economic fluctuations. Most of the Indian consumer is not a leader when it comes to choose any product they prefer to use reference or assistance while selection. for example if I tell my younger brother head and shoulders is much better shampoo than clinic all clear because I experienced so he would go with head and shoulders without arguing that can be said word of mouth and yes I agreed with my other friends who supported the idea of word of mouth but now consumer behaviour is changing they have better consumption power than before even viral marketing has changed a lot, it has introduced so many new forms of promoting your product. So obviously, marketers should be changed their strategy according to changing market.
For me personally marketing is about creating need in the market doesn't matter whether consumer need it or not, Generally Indian consumer go with opinion as I earlier said we are not leaders when its comes to selection but as India is a youth nation and time is changing rapidly and upcoming generation has more power to purchase and they are also emerging as a leader of their own choice so with changing phenomena, strategy should also change it shouldn't limit to word of mouth and marketers should always come up with new and innovative ideas to attract consumer because it could be said from marketers point of view new product development is just to create need in the market but for consumers now shopping is an experience so marketers should develop these kind of strategy through which consumer can feel a bond with the product or service. |

i can't getting this debate or i don't think all the persons who are involved in this business are giving truth statement b'coz the wants of the owner in this debate some secrects thing in open way and no one is here who wnt to give there own secrets so this debate is not so much genuine b'coz no one is who want to share his/her job/business secrets with any one in this open area |
