In my opinion, major cost is involved in material costs. While remodeling, adopt a similar design such that same fixtures and materials can be used again. Buy recycled fixtures and lightly-used fixtures and building materials. You can find these items at stores selling salvaged goods or materials that contractors donated. Usually such materials are sold for a more affordable price than the home-centers stores. |

i) Suppose we are going remodel some rooms in a new one. so, if we keep the window and door openings as previous one, we could use the window and door frames of the old building, cutting the cost. ii) sometimes orienting bathrooms or W/C in different position may be costly, due to the previously existing Septic tank / soak pit. iii) In load bearing wall structures, special attention should be kept on the fact that the line of walls above are on the line of walls below. other wise special costly measures to be taken. so we should study the previous and existing model and remodel accordingly, to cut the cost. |
