Dear friends....

Increasing population and individual wealth have led to a higher demand for energy and raw material resources as well as for steady improvement of processing technology in view of efficient use of resources and avoiding emissions in production and recycling processes.

So what do you think are the challenges for process industries in recycling?

Increasing prices of raw materials

idea posted by Surabhi Sinha Project Manager, Ispat Inds

When we discuss recycling, we mean mainly the recycling of short lasting-consumer goods from households. Industries, however, due to increasing prices of raw materials and growing demand for sustainability during the recent decades, are already re-integrating large quantities of different wastes as secondary raw materials into their production processes.

Hello Mr. Ram Swaroop Sharma, i fully support your every single word. But still, do you have any plan / idea to get awareness in our society?

Surabhi ji,

I support your idea,

there are two sources of waste-

1- House hold

2- industrial in-house

Waste collection from house hold is being discouraged due to

-Lack of awareness in common person (Who cares )

-Failed govt. policies ( no  strict rules and proper arrangement  for waste garbage disposal )

Industrial in-house is being discouraged due to

- Huge investment in recycling process ( cost factor )

- Eye wash implementation of environmental laws for industries ( no sufficient

subsidy for waste processing )

Even cost of the Processing will be vary from one Recycling to other.

Investments are Huge but with good support of Govt. and Enterprenuers

For example :Incineration of Chemical waste, Landfilling of Waste,

cost for new setups also increased at every level. need to maintain a quality standard as well as process also increased like material, labor etc.

Surbhi! Dependability on price of raw material is the key concern in process industry for recycling. There is huge potential to significantly improve the recycling efficiency and capacity by encouraging innovation and introducing more effective processesand technologies. This wouldsave cost, energy and natural resources and thus reduces the dependability on price ofraw material.

in spite of discarding old appliances we should have to develop a technology which will utilizes the valuable materials of the old appliances. this will help us to produce new goods at lower cost.

Standardize the parts so that old parts can go in new appliances with minor repairs.Of course giant manufacturers have to join hands. Think of QS 9000 by major auto manufacturers.
