I agree to Samir's comments and in addition to that, it would be better, if there is Continuous Improvement Plans (CIPs), along with the deliverables to the client.
Thanks Pratyush for commenting,indeed honesty and hardwork of the participant is required for the success of a project.But one more think--Group work and collaboration among the participants complete understanding among them is equally required for the success of the project.Thats what i think

Hi The changes what is happening around me and my team is following: 1. Multi Location, Multi Vendor team for the given project. The challenge is to cope up with the overall team members and vendor responsabile for each part of the project 2. Business and IT teams should have one view 3. Too many key business stakeholders, so there is mis match in scope and business case some times 4. Cost & Schedule over run (65% project are still failing on these parametrers) 5. PMO Metrics Collections, Audit Report, Process Compilence 6. PM Software - apart from MS PRoject, need to use PRimvera, etc... 7. Management Dash Board/Score Card

The use of the soft ware for Project Management is increased exponentially. With the projects being more complex and time being the essence the manipulation of the resources for effective execution of the project is the need of the day. Nowadays project management soft wares like Primavera and MS Project are used extensively to crack these complex Project Management Functions having more resource variables. |

Dear Samir I meant the use of PM soft wares will decrease the complexity of Project management.I edited my previous messageand corrected accordingly.
But i don't think it will effect the complexity of the project management

According to me Project managers will increase their emphasis on the basics, taking a first-things-first approach and address fundamentals such as gaining and sustaining executive commitment, addressing gaps in the alignment of organizational strategy and projects, project selection, and efficient measurement process while leveraging existing resources to increase project success. |

Hi,
I beleive without basic we can't rid off project complexity, yes we have to more focus of robust training for project management tools.Unfortuanetly in India you can't get best corporate training. I had gone number of traning from my organsiation whether it's new technology or new tool, but it's useless. Even I put my comment on feedback but HR never see seriously. This is another reason I support go for basic.

Project managers are being increasingly business savvy and are playing instrumental roles in influencing divisional/department and organizational strategies. This is one the biggest changes I see for a Project manager. |
