Consult DOCTOR in friendly manner

idea posted by C Nijagunaradhya Asst. Manager, Aarvee associates

First consult doctor in a friendly manner. B, cos i feel they are the best ones for this. They may give you best solutions in a step wise slow manner.

But the actual scene is no one dares do to go and ask them. So the problem becomes big and lastly CANCER, etc.

Also there are doctors who themselves smoke heavily. So search for the best one and definetly they will help .

Taking Fluids

idea posted by Sanjay Saha Product/Brand Manager, Dr Reddy Labs

The first few days, drink lots of water and fluids to help flush out the nicotine and other poisons from the body. Remember that the urge to smoke only lasts a few minutes, and will then pass. The urges gradually become farther and farther apart as the days go by.

Practical Method (It worked for me)

idea posted by G A Narayan VP - Marketing, KE Housing P. Ltd.

Hi,

Please visit the site http://toostep.com/insight/how-to-stop-smoking?t=smoking where I have given effective and practical ways to quit smoking.

For most heavy smokers, smoking has ceased to be “just a Habit” and instead turned into an “Addiction”. Unfortunately for these persons, their “Will Power” or “Mind Control Power” (with regards to Quitting Smoking only) has severely diminished. They no longer are able to exercise their “Will Power” or “Mind Control” over this action of theirs and hence are unable to come out of this addiction. Believe me, I was addicted to cigarettes for over 25 years and quit smoking about 3 years ago.

Since, only a smoker would understand another smokers plight (with regards to quitting), I have given my insights in the above mentioned link. Meditation, Mind Control, Hypnosis, etc., may help persons inflicted with this habit, but for hard core addicted smokers, all these (meditation, etc.) along with the steps given in the link would only help to strengthen their “Will Power” to quit smoking.

Hence, Please refer any persons you know who have this addiction and this would help them overcome the problem.

Good Luck !!

meditation

idea posted by kiran pandya Zonal Manager, Piccolo Mosaic Ltd

take up any form of meditation as it activates your subconscious mind & than give possitive suggestions as under:

1. I am aware that I am not my body & I am not my mind.

2. I am supreme consciousness part of the God himself.

3. This body & mind are my instruments for experiencing the world.

4. I control my mind & give orders to my mind. My mind is very obedient & follows every instruction that i give.

5. I now command my mind to give up the habbit of smoking completely.

6. I care for my family & for their love i wish to give up smoking completely

7. every time the urge to smoke comes my mind will suggest me to drink a glass of water.

8. I thank my mind for helping me in giving up the habbit.

count 1 2 3 4 5 & come out of your medtative state

Practice this twice a day for 21 days and rest assured about the result

self consciousness and self control is the best policy

idea posted by saswati chakraborty Career Counsellor/Customer Support/Inhouse Sales activity handling

Basically we are the masters of our own and we control ourselves.Nicotine level drops whenever you stop puffing and then your body starts craving for the cigarette. But if you decide that whatever happens you will not smoke and you will be loser infront of your consciousness then you may gain control. It is very difficult to do this. In the intial stages we will seek various excuses to smoke but yes if we picturize ourselves after 10 to 15 years that we are dyeing of cancer and that too because of a few transient relief then we can get conscious from now on.

1.Smoking makes us close to death and that too a dangerous deadly diseased death which nobody desires, wreathing in pain, suffocating in agony and detatched from the family.

2.Smoking makes a man impotent.

3.Smoking causes lung cancer and makes the body vulnerable to other diseases.

4.Smokers be aware while kissing your dear ones because you carry in you the harmful meningococcus which may cause in your love ones meningitis.

5.Do you all want to smoke and not only paralyze yourself but also the world around you..

Think about all the consequences that your one puff can cause and bring self restraint..otherwise no doctor, no clinic, no meditation and nothing can make you escape the invasion of the smokes to your PRECIOUS LUNGS...

Take care and live a healthy life...for yourself and for your loved ones..

Ask for support

idea posted by Dayanand Deshpande Senior Consultant, Ernst & Young

Ask for support from co-workers, friends and family members. Ask for their tolerance. Let them know you're quitting, and that you might be edgy or grumpy for a few days. If you don't ask for support, you certainly won't get any. If you do, you'll be surprised how much it can help.

inhaling fresh air and long time kisses....

idea posted by Santosh Dwivedi Media N' Marketing

Its interesting.. isn't it... but just think... physically only two parts of the body get affected by practice of smoking that is lungs and lips.... both the organs get stimulated to safisfy the brain...

So you can try with the pencil or hollow pipes by inhaling fresh air as frequently whenever you feel the need of smoking to provide enough exercise to your lungs on the one hand and have a longer duration kisses to provide enough excercise to your lips which holds the means of smoking and vibrate to inhale the smoke ....

I am sure, you will be very shortly get cured of your smoking problem...
