Besides working digilently on quality of content, it makes sense to take the visitor to the appropriate page which signifies the campaign rather than the home page. For instance, if the idea is to promote a specific product and there is some scheme discount, it would be better to take visitor directly to that page. In case, Pay per click is a strategic initiative for SEM on regular basis, it would be good idea to earmark such page links which serve immediate purpose of campaign. |

I agree. On an average, surfer gives first 30 seconds followed by another 3 minutes if he/she finds what he/she is looking for. It is very important to take the surfer to a page that has relevant content based on the keyword used to bring the surfer to the site.
Yah that will save the visitor's time.......in this case the navigation will matter most......as here the links or ADS appropriate to the services should be displayed on the concerned page...

In crafting your company's pay-per-click ad copy, make sure it's free from errors and gets to the point quickly. Also, include a call to action. Not only should you invite potential customers to click on your ad, consider including other inducements such as discount offers, promotions and free shipping deals that might get people to click over. If you do insert incentives into your company's ads, see if doing so has an effect on your company's conversion compared to times when you're not running a promotion. |

Hi, In SEM ads can be targeted geographically, demographically & day parted and even avoiding to display against keywords, Sites & category for aren't fruitful in gaining revenue with planned budgeting. The ad should give a clear message that its just for the specific purpose so as to not entertain who wouldn't perform actions complying targets. |

Any communication that you want the surfer to click on should have some gratification which will definitely make the surfer click on the communication. Its a very simple rule: Offer something to get something in return!! "click" :)) |

For companies just getting started in pay-per-click, it is common to want to be more inclusive than exclusive. After all, they are trying to win sales. However, considering that companies have to pay each time some one clicks on their link- [even when they don't make a purchase]- it is better to pick highly relevant keywords and then restrict the ad copy to include only certain prospective customers. Example: a credit card issuer might only invite those with stellar credit scores to click over. |

Like many new marketing tools we assume that the public or target audience would take to it through mere word of mouth or recall value. But that isnt the case so, pay-per-click has the potential but one needs to educate the consumer because most of the time he would find it irritating when on every click he is taken to a different page. Instead like one blogger suggested have instant gratification. Even if a consumer clicks on a ad, he should be asked the choice whether he wants to actually go to the advertised site or continue with his browsing irrespective of his reward. |
