Attitude of Top Management

idea posted by VIJAY OJHA Company Secretary, HAMPSON

According to me the attitude of Top Management plays crucial role in implementing the effective ethics and compliance in the company. As they are the policy makers and they define the rules for internal ethics and working culture and compliance. If the tope management is concerned about the ethics and compliance it will enter in the nerves of all employees and concerned of the company and then a standard will be created and everybody will follw the same.

Reporting

According to me this is a very important factor, each and  every employee has the power to join the  compliance team where he or she can help the company, organizations should create a reporting structure where without fear an employee raises question against allegation or concerns without fear of retaliation... This sort of culture should be developed for a company to have a good reputation.......

By using performance measures.

idea posted by Anagha Thakur Corporate Lawyer

Monitoring and maintaining compliance is one of the most important ways an organization promotes its values, sustains a positive ethical climate and supports its long-term prosperity. Studies suggest that companies with a reputation for responsible conduct attract and retain the best employees, customers, partners and investors - yielding long-term, sustainable competitive advantage.

To enable this success, leading companies are employing methods to measure the performance of their ethics and compliance programs. Accurate, timely performance data allows organizations to view the current state of their efforts, enables executives to gauge their programs’ impact on business performance and provides compliance managers with fact-based insight to continually improve and strengthen their initiatives.
