To me Security for mobile also is a major issue in this category, wireless computing is a particularly difficult problem. Technologies, such as cell phones and others, have almost no security because of poorly designed communications protocols.

I agree with Ms.Radha.Security has been a major concern here. The device has to be intelligent enough in catching the fishy content thus ensuring required safety to the end-user. There are many fraud softwares to easily access the other mobiles and steal the sensitive information without the knowledge of user. One may not be that smart to handle such cases.

For me, as the technology improves, it is going to be the challenges of data theft. As an example, RFID enabled cards contain a lot of personal data and with the onset of many types of card readers, the 'enabled' hacker can steal all your personal info and misuse it. But at the same time, in a converged world, the same info is used as a SSO identifier. So once the info is out, it is out for good (of the hacker). Spam - yes, but I do believe that there would be stricter laws in the future - just like no calls registry to protect users from spam. The other aspects of security like viruses etc are still there, but that is one think that cannot be stopped so easily - for every system that has a code, it can be cracked/hacked. Regards, VB |

In order to achieve interoperability, international consortia and standardization bodies such as the ISO (International Standard Organization), OMG (Object Management Group), W3C (WWW Consortium), IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force), SS7 (Signalling System) and TINA (Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture Consortium) all of them have released standards specification for open distributed system. These bodies shape the IT landscape and increasingly release mobile computing related specifications. |

According to me the wireless spam is a issue that is bothering the users. The cellular networks currently lack the capacity for widespread distribution of unsolicited wireless advertising or (wireless spam), these advertisements are already very well known in Japan, Europe, US and other countries where they have proven to be a significant burden on the cellular users. |
