According to me the HR managers should have employee turnover as one of their KPI's. The goal for setting this KPI would be to reduce employee turnover. It could be defined numerically for better definition such as to reduce employee turnover by 5% every year. This KPI could be defined as the total of the number of employees separated from the organization for reasons of resignation or termination divided by the number of employees at the beginning of the year. It could be measured on a fixed time schedule like every month or every quarter. |

Hi Diya , Speaking of KPI in HR. www.smartKPIs.com may be a good resource for you. It contains a user friendly library of well-documented performance measures. At the moment it lists over 4500 KPI examples, grouped in 73 functional areas, as well as 83 industries and sub-categories. KPI examples for the HR are available on this page http://www.smartkpis.com/kpi/functional-areas/human-resources/ They include but not limited to: % Performance appraisal participation rate % Self review rate % External hire rate In addition to examples of performance measures, www.smartKPIs.com also contains a catalogue of performance reports that illustrate the use of KPIs in practice. Examples of such reports for HR are available on: http://www.smartkpis.com/kpi_examples_in_practice/functional-areas/human-resources/ The website is updated daily with new content, so check it from time to time for additional content. Please note that while examples of performance measures are useful to inform decisions, each performance measure needs to be selected and customized based on the objectives and priorities of each organisation. I agree with you Mrs.Diya and I think recruitment is also another vital HR aspect to be aware of. Indicators here include comparisons between the average appraisal results of newly hired employees with the previous batch of hires. Better recruitment would of course result in hires that are better appraised than previous batches, and so on. An improving quality of new hires would result in better performing employees to fill the positions in the organization. |

The nuisance of fake resume had become a big time issue. People have high confidence level to fake it and after all resumes is the first step towards the interview and it is difficult to screen if the resume is fake of not.. I read an article on... |
It is not luck always. But yes there is a little contribution from luck. We cannot do anything about it and hence we just should not think about it. |
I have seen some queries coming in very regularly about job offers. Whena person gets job in two companies the first question coming to the mind is which one to join. So what are the parameters you keep in mind while evaluating the job offer? |
