We can start collecting email information of your customers. Many brick and mortar business owners are totally oblivious when it comes to email marketing. Collect all their emails at checkout or while they're in the store. Tell them that you will send an occasional email with a saving of some sort. Once a week send out an email announcing some sort of special that you're running or tell them that if they come in and mention the email they'll get a 10% discount. |

James the other way of doing it by sending them company mailer from time to time with an option not to receive the mail if they wish so.
Since today the e-mail is like almost jammed Delhi Roads and nobody likes it so the approach will be the same but in a different way.

Give discount and goodies to your old customers, when they increase the chain. Ex"Mr.X ,a satisfied customer of retail stores will be provided discount on products when he brings in more customers similarly the new customer would get a similar offer

We can also try by take some nice digital photos 25 to 30 and making a video of our business (product or service) with us in it. After tagging it appropriately with the right keywords and uploading it on different Video sites like Youtube, Metacafe, Yahoo, Myspace or have one made inexpensively. Youtube is now the 2nd biggest website in the world. |

A special offer is an oppertunity for the customer to gain a financial advantage that is perceived as irresistible. A special offer should motivate purchasing decision because of the perceived value in it. |

Without advertisement one can not attract new customers. Advertisement can be done either through emails, canopy in public places or advertisement on radio, tv, and newspaper giving your contact address & responding the queries satisfying the customer's need. |

In today's competitive environment every penny counts.Customers are becoming very choosy today. In today's world price is still an important factor but it is not the most important factor faced by the customers.Today if there is any thing new which is a new experience for the customers, they are willing to pay for that in-spite they feel it different. |

The question in debate is a very subjective question, no one way could be success formula for all classes of services and segments. One must look around the product and service he want to offer, his target customer segment and then select the most popular way of reaching to your customer. Any service/product for household will not catch enough attention via email, you got to be reach via print media, Any product/service which is target for a small set of premium customer, then you got to go for audio/video modes to make it most talkative product/service and your customer will come to you. Marketing must be focused on creating true awareness about the product instead of focusing to bring customers. You must be able to position your product with proper perception among targeted segment. If you focus on bringing your perspective customers, you are overstepping the line. Human psychology says that we are all more tempted about what is not said/known to us, and we try to overlook what has been communicated to us.

If your product is too old in market and you need more customer attraction then change the product positioning so that your existing customer as well as new customer will attract for that product. Ex: "Rs.6 Britania good day" Before 6 ruppes pack there was 12 ruppes pack available in the market but when they bring 6 rupees pack they positioned the product in two major categories which every MNC wants to enter i.e. Rural market, Urban market. Mostly rural people prefer 5-7 rupees pack so now rural customer also has their budgeted product and Good Day already captured Urban Market
To attract more customer there are so many strategies we can use but it depends upon the product and also market situation.
Thanks for imvitation
