Government should create more and more automobile industry specific SEZs where only automobile organizations will grow. In this way more and more global manufacturers will get their interest in these SEZs and invest. |

Yes, creation of SEZ will help to attract global leaders in motor manufavturing field.
Thanks for referral Ms. Mridula.
To attract more auto companies first we have to make sure that our facilities cope up for the needs of these automakers.
We have to develop our infrastructure to an extent that any compay should feel free or should not have second thought on investing their funds in here.
To attract good companies first we have to attract all classes of people in here.
We have to provide good road facilities, and do imagine a car with low raod clearence to be rode in these kind of roads.
next thing is the most concerning factor which is the fuel cost wich should be affordable by all. everyone knows that buying the car is not a big thing but to maintain it is the one.
we are pulling up these points because, we shouldn't be in a position wherein we have the facilities and not able to use them.
with all these factors affordable by all classes of poeple, we have more and more willing to go for the new age automakers and with this is an increased market for new age cars and with increased market we have the ability to attract more and more automakers into our land of oppurturnities.

The Automobile Industry is looking for better infrastructure, although Pune gurgaon are the hubs for automobile, but don't have infrastucture, road facility, transportation etc. Other problem is labour issues that should be tackled properly. |

Yes definitely , provision of good infrastructure will attract more foreign investors.
First & foremost problems are the roads.Main road are not only sufficient to be developed but the internal road should be developed because Containers cant reach in the interiors, hence the transportation time is very high & costly.Other facillty viz.Formalities,Power, Water, & other resources.Major problem is corruption.

If you would like to know why CEO'S decide to build a new plant in a foreign country, you have to think first what is the factors that enable that companies to maximize their profit. For example a country like Egypt which has 18 different assembly lines producing more than 25 different model but all of them produced on the basis of CKD operations. The only motive in that case is to gain profit and not to establish a national automotive industry. Another example, the decision of Daimler to build a new factory (800 million Euro) in Hungary near to Budapest to start the production on it in 2012 . Daimler started the process of choosing the location from 27 countries allover the world and filtered them to 3 locations in 3 Eastern European Countries Poland, Romania, and Hungary. The final decision was Hungary. In my opinion, such a decision depends on a formula or I may use the word "prescription". A prescription of many medicaments includes not only the governmental incentives or the infrastructure facilities, but also networking suppliers, level of expertise of labors, R&D centers and last but not least the size of targeted market. As, this topic one of my my MBA thesis I've a lot to add in that issue in my next participation. Regards,

Already lot of companies have started manufacturing bases in India, with Chennai turning out to be Detroit of India. Unfortunately, we don't have sufficient good roads to run these machines. Looking at the traffic snarls at Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru etc. it is felt there is urgent need of better public transportation systems. A car manufacturing unit is supported by many ancillary units, manufacturing forgings, engines, automotive rubber parts, steering and braking systems, tyres etc. Following are essential to attract car manufacturers, Huge land availability. Uninterrupted power and water. Logistics support for timely arrival of assemblies & parts. Technical manpower (We have enough of these). However India should encourage cars using alternative fuels rather than cars running on fossil fuels. |

A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that uses two or more distinct power sources to move the vehicle. Do you think such cars are answer to all the problems like rice hike in petrolem, air pollution ect .. |
Along with manufacturing a better maintenance is also needed because when there is no maintenance various problems come unexpectedly. But if parts properly maintained they will know what the condition is and how to take care of it and avoid disastrous... |
