Some bosses have this weird sense that since they are boss they should order people around and create a military kind of environment. They feel the stricter the things are the better things are organised. If an employee is late for some deadline, then the boss starts labelling the work or the employee himself. |

Some Bosses have the feeling that being a Boss they can order and get things done as they want. This is not workable always. Some persons will be there who are fearless and have the capability to challenge anyone for his rights. That is the THREATENING a junior will work in most case but can backfire in some cases.
Sometimes boss, thinking that HE IS THE BOSS and THE BOSS IS ALWAYS RIGHT takes untoward turns and makes his resources do some highly questionable and illogical things that you as a sub-ordinate has to simply follow e.g. bypassing a major checklist point, not taking care of quality issues, hiring people based on relations and not on merit, forming teams without thinking about the amalgamation chemistries etc.

When someone is directing your every move, you don't feel like they trust you or respect you. Your productivity and morale are going to suffer."Some people really do believe that they know everything and the world should revolve around them. Your boss might be afraid that if your work is not top-quality, it will make him/her look bad to the higher-ups."
( By the way this don't happen in my department but in other areas. My boss cannot tell me how to do an audit or what to put in my report) |

as we move up in an organisation responsibility also increases.

Firstly, In most of the cases theres is an ill tendency of the bosses to play " exploitative role' which treated " just do what i say"..Secondly, intentionally or un- intentionally bosses dont recognize the ideas/creativity of the subordinates on different issues..thirdly, dont know how to apply the whole-man concept over his subordinate staff which hindered the overall controlling, mentoring, coaching ..... |

Many bosses, tend to forget that - they are part of the team...even if they are leader...the whole team is working together to achieve the desired goal , however - when success comes some bosses conveniently forget to acknowledge the hard work done by their fellow mates..& most of the time they try to take complete credit of work done + not even do they encourage their subordinates by saying few appreciative words, which costs nothing... Actually by doing this, they are doing biggest mistake rather blunder of their life..as when u do not recognize genuine efforts of someone, & keep the success crown only on ur head, as a boos - u'll loose confidence of ur subordinate + he/she will never respect you again & will leave the job @ first opportunity. one of the most imp reason for attrition in today's job market is " not having good boss or not having someone i.e. leader or boss to look up to.... |

In my experience with a certain global managers, I see some are for improvement in the intercultural understanding: not all people behave in the same way and we have to be able to identify individual attitudes from cultural models. If not, we are cultural sterotypes' vistim

Insecurity about their Job - Some bosses prefer to do things alone rather than taking teams help as they are unsecure that someone will provide better solution, and thus they get a sense of insecurity about their post |

Ok now you might like s/w field but might not suit you. So what try and figure out what are you good at. Do not think about money. Once you have figured out make yourself best in that field and money will follow. |
