The technology market continues to grow and candidates continue to shift careers with great frequency, the cost of re-recruitment to many companies has become expensive. So companies are looking for measurable recruitment solution that will improve new hire ratios while lowering costs. What are today's enterprise recruiting models?

Outsourcing the recruitment process

idea posted by Darshana Sawant HR Manager, Leading IT services company

Friends the recruiting process seems to be more expensive nowadays, so companies started outsourcing their recruitment process. This offers a variety of recruitment tools integrated within the talent management. It automates the administrative front end of the hiring process by using applicant tracking system. It also enables the client to have a comprehensive new hire program that is more efficient to both the client and the new employee. So by doing this we can save time and the reduce cost of recruiting.

I support this idea. Below is my argument:

Moving to a centralized "Shared Services" kind of a setup will surely deliver results by achieving economies of scale, thereby reducing costs in the long run through increased efficiency and effectiveness. But this approach requires heavy investment initially both in terms of cost and time, which can be avoided without compromising on efficiency and effectiveness.

Outsourcing is the answer, which works well especially for the recruitment process. The main worry with outsourcing, in general, is the detachment from the vision of the organization. This worry is not completely true in terms of the recruitment process, as there are parts of the recruitment process that can be outsourced without the fear of detaching it from the vision of the organization for example: sourcing, response management, communication management etc.

If these parts are outsourced to a specialized vendor who is aligned to your organization and manages it using their domain expertise and readily available robust processes and procedures, sophisticated tools and metrics and technology, it will save your time and costs significantly without compromising on the results that you want to achieve.

Om Deshpande

Central recruitment team

idea posted by Kriti Das HR Manager, ANZ Information Technology

Many companies usually handle their recruitment process by a central recruitment team. This team will search for the right talent as per the company needs and maintain a database of all the applicant. They collect the data usually in two ways through online and by recruitment agencies. Then they will interview the shortlisted candidates and select the employees. They have a standard process for selecting and maintain a standard report or metrics.

Not The Single One

1) Campus recruitment/HR team efforts

2) Outsourcing

3) Refferal

Every company using all three models because it is not feasible to recruit all candidates from any of one single method.
