With the coming of international standard education in India, less number of students would be going abroad for studies as they will be getting the same standards here in India. This will also help our country in lesser outflow of Indian currency abroad. Students unable to go abroad because of financial problem will now get the same in India. |

The first and most important effect of this will be that we will be on the safer side as it can help us to reduce brain drain.People will get a chance to do their further studies here ,even a poor can get a chance to study in the foreign universities if these universities give a fair chnce to evry one .
Yes Sonam I do agree with you that less number of students go to abroad for education..I want to add one more thing that the middle class students can also take the education from foreign universities because it will reduce the expenses.
The apparent purpose of allowing foreign universities to operate in India is to stem the flow of Indian students abroad and the consequent outgo of foreign exchange which is substantial. I recall reading the figure of US $50 billion somewhere though I doubt it'd be so high. This purpose may or may not be served. Students do not go abroad just because that education is not available in India. Some of them certainly go because they can afford to do so; foreign degree (US. UK, etc) is perceived as better; and they like to have experience of living abroad. So some students might still go. But then larger number of Indian students are expected to join these institution and the pressure on IITs, IIMs may ease a bit.
Indian standard of education will improve, and capital saving spent on foreign education

With the arrival of foreign universities in India, Indian institutions will improve the standard for the purpose of survival. Thus Many of our students will stay in India for higher education and the capital can be spend in India instead of a foreign land, The foreign universities are eying in India due the recent development in Australia and elsewhere attack on Indians. The foreign universities are trying to enter Indian education market to ensure there share. Please remember the job opportunities are more in India than other countries now or in future. The conclusion is that the developed countries are concerned of their economy for survival. |

Standard of education will improve and this will improve through competition.More players means they will all vie for providing better service to students. And also, domestic students wont have to look outside for better education.
Regulatory authorities will die out and so their hegemony will tear apart and Indian education system will be a better one.
This is a right move by Indian Government. This will not only bring the world class courses to India but also increase the compititions within Indian colleges and universities to do well and improve qulity of education to get more students.
Good for students and quality education.
The foreign universities will help our students to be more globally competitive , with the quality of education & Infrastructure , which would increase Intl. Industiral & Economical Participation India.

No doubt its a choice available locally within a reach for all aspirants to pursue here.On the other hand, pose a growing competition to local education. Healthy competition is good for both people and country. But let that not be a mania & criteria for job opportunities. Because, its obvious MNC will prefer a foreign course educated guy rather than the one educated here in the university. This gray area needs to be monitored closely so that, the guy who really got the potentials is always given opportunity in job preferance rather than dictating for foreign qualification. |

yes, if we can study in Cambridge or harwards university with less amount of fee it looks attractive , i think.
I thought Prof. Mishra that there's faculty shortage in India. But it doesn't seem to be so. To confirm this impression, I sent my CV to some business schools. I have yet to get even an acknowledgement!

Students will have lot of options. More number of employable resources will be available. Though one drawback could be the cost of education may go up. It would be interesting to see exact stipulations in the policy. |

Most of the foreign universities will have lot of infrastructure such as huge amount of bandwidth, equipment, research lab, etc. If foreign universities are established automatically they also need to develop the same in India. In that way we may enjoy some more improvement in infrastructure. |

With the increase in foreign universities and foreign professors in India, it can only mean one thing: improvement of country's quality of education and more and more students getiing western education exposure. I believe this will help those students also, who want to persue foreign education but fail to do so because of financial crisis. This move will create a lot of foreign education aspiring students to get quality education which will benifit the whole country as a whole. |

IITs and such similar institutions have gone a peg down with the increased enrollment. This inclusion of foreign universities in the Indian education space should give them the motivation they need to move up in their standards and provide more and more quality education. I also see a continuous decrease in the number of students going abroad as pointed out here. However the implementation should be done properly. Otherwise there is a danger of these foreign university campuses becoming the choice of the elite group .....the moneyed few who can afford it. In which case the indian universities may not see that as much of a competition. |

Foreign study will be cheaper for aspiring students. They will get more exposure. It will also encourage competition between educational institutions. |

We are already living a highly corrupt world. Foreign Education “Companies will offer more bribe to the Indian Government/ Administrators/ Ministers to justify a more lousy and below standard education system. |

As what I think It helps to get rid of discrimination of the students who have good knowledge and want to continue their studies and want to prove themselves on the basis of their skills and experience and the hard work they did to improvise themselves in such a way that they can stand in the competitive world because of their hard work not because of their cast , religion, or any reservation that they have. But it also create trouble to us in such way that the foreign universities can easily be a better source for raising money because still we have a race to get something that come from abroad whether that thing is not preferable on the basis of the quality parameter. So why I hope it results in a balanced manner. |

With foreign universities entering Indian shores, CORRUPTION would certainly be one thing that shall increase, and manifold at that. What with admnissions to specialised colleges / universities already available with DONATIONS. Lets understand, while the universities operate in their own country, they have nothing to loose but they would have to invest big time to open facilities in India. Whe we Indians are ready to pay a hefty amount to get admissions in so-called elite colleges / universities, what stops such things to happen when a foreign university offers admission? Corruption would not only be in terms of admissions but placement as well. |

A Pakistani lawmaker has said that terrorist outfits in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province are recruiting jobless youth by paying them up to 40,000 a month. How scary does it sound? What do you think is the reason behind people actualy joining such camps?? |
Quite long but nice... We cannot really do few of the things mentioned like blind folding ourselves for a day but still many important points are covered which is good.. |
Is it that we see them as threat and they see us. Is it possible that they feel that the same way as we feel about them. Do you think it is fair to say we are a threat to them? Is it that we see them as threat and they see us. Is it possible that... |
