idea posted by Ravneet Singh Bhatia Owner, Infrastructure Project Management Group

Provision in budget shall be made to improve surrounding along railway tracks, sometimes it gives a scene of huge toilet or garbage dump. To meet the urgent needs there shall be provision for toilets/ maintained garbage dumpsThis gives idea for Neat & Clean India with world class facility

Invest heavily in Urban and Suburban railway transport networks.

idea posted by Arunangshu Choudhury Agent, L.I.C

Metro cities are where most middle class people live and work, facing the problems of traffic- long commuting time to work, pollution and the huge cost of having so many Cars running on Indian roads on the economy.I believe that one of the BEST INVESTMENTS THAT WE CAN MAKE AS A SOCIETY is to develop a round the clock functioning Railway Network both above and underground in urban and suburban areas of the four Metros and major  state capitals.

World class Railway stations

idea posted by Inani Sarkar Sales/BD Manager, Aricent

Recently we saw in Delhi where Anand vihar terminal was made a world class Railway station, though there are many railway stations are in the line to be made as world class railway stations, but nothing has happened, so from many of the sorry state of railway stations, we need our railway stations in all the metros and tier 2 cities to be world class with all the features.

Proposal to develop their land resource

idea posted by SR Sham Sunder CEO/MD/Director Technoaid

I believe that any resource stays as one if put to productive use.  Indian Railways are the world's biggest land lord.  There could be lot of proposals in PPP model for development of their land resource, which will in turn be very commuter friendly.  However, I am not sure if Mamtadi would say yes!!  If I had proposed that railways share their land resource for public use, to start with from West Bengal, I envision her saying Yes immediately!!

No increase in Ticket fares

idea posted by Dayanand Deshpande Senior Consultant, Ernst & Young

Everybody wants a stable price interms of ticket prices, we all know that there will be an increase in fuel price in a short period of tme, but then if fares are increased then it will make all the more difficult people with already high food inflation that is there, so I would ask the Railway minister not to increase the ticket fares this time around.

I live in Jharkhand . When ever i travel by train it is guaranteed ( may be my bad luck ) that i will confront some cockroaches or insects , Wet or dirty bed rolls . I think i we aam admi do not pay for this . I hope the honourable ministers do not forget that we aam admi has made them ministers . Some clean peaceful travel is our only demand honourable ministers . Heart felt gratitude if you provide us or else the saying goes " Jis ka koi nahin hota hai us ka god hota hai " .

A good transportation system with time maintenance

idea posted by Kumara Swamy Project Associate, IIIT-H

I can say as a commuter, i need a good transportation system with proper time maintenance. Most of the times Indian Railway System will not take these things into consideration.

1. Good number of trains should be provided.

2. All the trains should maintain the timings.

3. The trains should come to respective platforms with less moment of passengers between platforms.

I hope, a passenger need these generally.
