What factors brought IPL 2008 success ?

The most important factor of IPL success was the way its marketing was done.Lalit modi and his team left no stone unturned in creating a craze among each and every citizen of the country and the people abroad.They have spent huge amount of money in its promotion whether its through television,Hoardings,radio,banners,IPL accessories etc.Marketing of IPL was done on a large scale and it was the BIGGEST reason for the success that it has got.

According to me the biggest factor of its success was the format of IPL where players from different countries come together and form a team.And the most interesting part was when players from same country are facing each other as rivals,we had seen our Indian players captaining their franchisees come and play as rival captains which was very new to the cricketing audience.

In my view,the glamour that was there in the IPL made it a huge success.Whether its the presence of bollywood celebrities,Cheer girls or the opening ceremony performances from various artistes across the world.

IPL is Cricket so irrespective of other factors if the game of cricket is not up to the standards then it could not have achieved the success that it has achieved.There was a fierce competition among all the teams and the final also wwnt to the last ball of the match which shows how competitive all the teams were and of course the IPL.so according to me the fierce and competitive cricket was the biggest reason for its success.

As they say publicity is publicity whether its good or bad.IPL was full of controversies whether it was bhajji-sreesanth slapgate,controversy over cheer girls,or ganguly-shane warne face-off.Everything contributed in attracting more audiences towards IPL and it plays a major role in its success.
