First of all stating that social networking sites act as a hindrance in the productivity of any company is wrong according to me. More often than not, the employees are aware of their duties and targets to be achieved within the given time frame. And my manager allows team members to access these networking sites. As, he realises that employees too are human beings who need to indulge in some activities to keep the pressure off their minds. In productivity-oriented fields, making sure that the employees are relaxed at work is essential.  So the good aspect of social networking is that it acts as a stress buster.

Social networking through internet is for communication, distant communication in the pre internet invention period was a difficult task, similar is the case of networking based at different locations. Now that has been changed with the introduction of internet, such communication gap was bridged. Still then we are lagging behind when compared to developed nations for communications and developnemt in the area of internet.

We are part of global society even before the introduction of internet but communication speed is grown enormously, communication developed from paper media...radio....television(telecommunication)...internet.

These sites are global and let us feel that we live in a global society. Again, these remind us that we are just a citizen of a Global village where caste, creed, color and NATIONALITY of a human being, male or female, does not matter.

With time you will know that the best thing social networking sites have to offer is a view from different angles. You must have been thinking over an issue in a particular way but when you read what others have to say you experience a shift of opinion inside yourself and this is exactly what social networking does. This is the one thing that is very good about this whole system: Sharing and gainging of new and uptodate information.

& sharing views/knowledge/information getting connected with people from diverse platforms ...

am totally surprised on more no of apprehension  about the social networking. No doubt differnet people will  have different ideas. But the present scenario will welcome this may b not today but certainly it will b the dominating factor in the years to come. in the present scenario customers / mnfs are more concerned about value / action / time. THE VAT CONCEPT (VALUE ACTION TIME) CANNOT B TAKEN LIGHTLY.

This may seem to be a typical bollowood inspired filmi line, but believe i foudn my long lost friend by it,

though i had his email, but for some reason he never replied back, and after years , (7 yrs to be precise ) he was able to recall the last time when we met, Online friendship can never replace the ones we had when we were offline :)
