The answer lies in the fact that why people buy online. In my opinion, there are basically three main reasons :- 1. It saves time. 2. Keeping away oneself from the chaos like traffic, parking, queues (like in travel tickets) etc. 3. When one exactly knows what he or she has to buy for example a book or a software or a media or like that. So, in my opinion, products related to travel, media, literature will continue to dominate online sales.

I agree with Ujjwal. The current trend of online buying will not change. People buy online only because it is very much comfortable for them. There will be no special change for any special products just for online buying. Online sales has its own place and it will sustain without any special deliverance on any specific products. I have seen the same amount of demand in every product online so there will be no change in the demand on any specific product online...

People will be no more ready to visit a busy outlet and waste their time for purchasing apparels. Instead of that they will buy it online. Any brands are available online and they can also select according to their choice. |

I believe the number of beauty conscious women are increasing day by day and there is a great demand for beauty products. So they would find it easy to sit in front of the computer and order for there product as they don't have time to visit the shop. |

If quality programmes in infotainment media viz. short films, documentaries, licident recording or any thing interesting and creative , is prepared on audiovisual media format , it would have a definite market which could be small initially but will sooner than expected, become reasonable enough to attract fresh entries. |

Online selling is more about trust on the seller to provide product as proclaimed. And products with a Brand / Quality gaurantee are more likely to gain in long run

I belive that people order only those products online for which they are willing to wait. There may be many reasons for their willingness to wait: 1) Customers are not finding the products suitable alternative for these products at some nearby stores. 2) Some brands offer very attractive deals online with very heavy discounts as online selling significantly cut the cost of distribution and commissions to middlemen. In my opinion Luxury and sports apparels and cosmetics, high end books, electronics items come in this category. Therefore, these items will be definitely be sold online in 2010. |

This is the industry of future . We are already seeing more and more people buying travel andholiday packages online. The reason for this is....an online version gives multiple options to consumers to see, compare and finalise the best package for him/her without the hassles of going through the travel agent. |

Customers will buy products that need not be seen before d purchase such as d railway tickets, plain tickets, etc. Hence i think only services industry is going to have buyers online(eg. banking, insurance, etc. Online counselling on matters such as beauty problems nd education is going 2 emerge as a big problem. As indian customers lik 2 see n observe consumer durables and clothes , these categories will nt find much takers on the internet. The next wave of online sales is going 2 come from rural india with d e-chaupal version 3.0 being implemented. Many companies will now associate themselves with e-chaupal and othe rprojects lik HUL's i-shakti. therefore increase in online sales of products such as fertilizers and insurance is round the corner. |

Make the site fast. Use graphics effectively, not for the sake of it. Make the checkout process as easy as possible. Again, ensure that the site is not dynamically database driven unless this is absolutely essential – nothing is faster than doling out... |
Hi Gorakshnath, I think India will not go back to its rural base because the rural people want to enter into the urban economy. If at all we go we cannot give surety for quality products. Which economy does not matter, it is the minds of the people... |
We were able to count at least 50 items that retail for just Re 1 or under. The amazing part is that there are several industries that thrive solely on these products. Now just imagine that such products not only manage to recover costs, but also make... |
