I think it has to be India's enterprising middle class and it doesnt stop just there, its also their spending power which has increased at the moment that's why we are seeing that the domestic market is stronger than anywhere in the world, and with an young population you expect things to move forward in the right direction. And according to me this is the prime reason why India is at the forefront of economic transformation which is taking it towards it becoming a global superpower... |

I think these are the result of policies adopted by manmohan singh's policies when he was a finance minister , same policies were continued later on by Vajpayee govt. this has resulted this day.

Policies of Govt has started taking us in the direction aimed at.
I truelly support the idea that Manmohan's economic reforms of 1991 are responsible for the growth of Indian industries and helped it in becoming global superpower. Without these political reforms this would have not been possible. Despite being a latecomer in this race India has done extreamly well in this path. India's economic performance in the post-reforms period has many positive features. India remained second fastest developing country in the world thanks to economic reforms. The policy reforms have put India in high growth path, with more sensible policies we have an oppertunity to accelerate our growth further and take off into a higher growth trajectory. The unusual growth of Indian software industry can be attributed to the reforms brought by Dr. Manmohan singh. India is being able to narraow down its fiscal deficits due to these policy reforms. It will take a whole year just to mention the benefits the reforms brought in making India a global superpower. So I'm concluding here.

India is definitely growing owing to its status as " back end office of World " & population of more than one billion. Albeit to rise as global power, long way to go.Focus on infrastructure & manufacturing is required. Also economic disparity between rich & poor should come down otherwise naxalism may eat our country.Too early of think ourselves as global power

India is becoming of the back-office of the Western World because primarily the time difference. Any job handed at night(Western Time) is done during the day(India Time) and handed back in the morning(next day, Western Time). To supplement this, it is cheap, has respect for the "confidential" information in the job

When I see (a). India is, still, a preferable place for foreign investment by many MNC (b) Growing number of technically qualified youths(acquisition of technical education) - means emergence to handle technological / information explosion (c). Forbes declared Mrs Sonia, a 9 th powerful women in the world (d). Newyork times quoted Mr. Manmohan singh as a powerful political leader (e). India is sustaining growth among all odds (f). One of the World middle class that is economically uplifted, is India (g). Of late, measures taken for emancipation of women, in all walk of life by Govt. (h). It is more visible, now, more and more Indians are preferred in Good offices world wide. What I feel from these inference, is that these factors takes India to the forefront. |

Kaliy murty ji I agree to you but it's the result of MANMOHAN SINGH'S economic reforms which he started in 1991 and the vajpayee govt.also followed it.the result of this is what in front of us.

Look at the scams appearing in media and news papers every day.
How can younger generation of the day have or develop any hope of future{let alone good future} to the country and ultimately their future. All corruption, every where corruption. If Dr Manmohan Singhji is honest it is not sufficient. we need crores of honest and sincere 'Servants of India' like him.
Long live Manmohan Singhji

Simply because we are not a global superpower nor on an economic transformation yet. Buying out a couple of brands or sporting clubs when they are about to file for bankruptcy doesnt make one a superpower. What makes one a superpower or economic power is when your business is spread all over the globe and your trade balance is on your side. Look no further than the chinese, you will find them in mali, senegal, uganda, new york, tokyo et al. Today the chinese have spread all over the globe and are investing in foreign lands in droves. In comparison to that our ambassadors abroad are sitting pretty and getting fatter with their five star pay checks and book launches on the side. We hardly have any trade delegations visiting any of the countries on a regular basis to promote trade ties or investments. Our own trade chambers in india either meet to have their quota of chai and samosas or indulge in politics instead of promoting trade and business in other countries the very reason for their existence.
Make no mistakes, to be an economic superpower, we need to be self sufficient first and then spread out to other territories.

There has been a sharp increase in the education and Technology levels of Indians. To add to this, they are also superb at innovation - pickup something in the West, and find out a way to "improve" on the same at a cheaper rte. The Chinese only try to do it cheaper but quality suffers.
