IT does not exist to introduce technology for the sake of technology. Its there to help the business. If the business units cannot get the support they require, they will bypass IT. IT consultants need to understand the business and help the business managers understand how the planned use of technology can improve their current business processes and position them for the future. Business will then readily support IT endeavours, will be more tolerant of IT shortcomings and will accept IT as partners in the business. |

In my opinion, IT is NOT for the sake of technology or for such a purpose; It is for enabling business, efficiency, optimization of cost etc in order to achieve the business goal; But not sure about the consultants priorities.

Makes good sense. But IT has become such a big platform that nowadays it seems more like a necessity. There are areas where the use of IT can be avoided. But the mentality is such the company feels handicapped without it.

Sometimes a client will have a project planned and evaluated, and they simply need an IT consultant to complete it for them because there have been many instances wherein, the professionals of the company, in spite of all their experiences tend to make mistakes. If you have the skills to complete the job, this can be an easy task because you have the guidelines already set for you. |

I think in todays world for an IT Consultant and his parent organization its not merely important to implement the idea of the client. Its more important to bring value to the table by suggesting 5 better ways of executing the same application flow..moreover the consultant should also concentrate on long term prospects of the application and build it as open ended to leave the space for further enhancement of functionalities. The architecture should be open ended as well as driven with aspects of performance and reusability. Only in such cases can the client look upon upgrading or feature enhancement of his application which gives more ROI for the investment and long term and better business for the consultant |

Yes sir the product is really good but it is designed for different purpose. It is mostly used for military purpose. |
This might sound odd to many but yes laptops are not tough. They can break and get damaged and you will regret if this happens. So the best thing to do is to protect it the best way possible. There is just one laptop Tough book which will not... |
