I think really good Verbal and written communication skills is really important in building a really good identity in the workplace. Gone are the days of a job-for-life, and even a career-for-life. Increasingly, many people will have several careers and, in all likelihood, will have to take greater personal responsibility for managing their careers and developing new skills & today majority of Indian employees are prepared to spend their own money on upgrading their skills. Many employees might also change their careers at some stage in the future. Whatever career a good verbal & written communication skills will create a really good identity for you. |

Stability, accountability, responsibility and honesty are the best things if you have ..................
Good written and communication skills are the most important factors as they highlight the strengths of the individual. However, this has to be necessarily tagged along with attitude. An individual having good written and communication skills will still fail if he does not have the right attitude. Thus, right attitude is the glue which binds good verbal and written skills and helps the individual to do better in life. All other skills are derived from these basic skills starting from attitude.... Thanks for the referral, Natteraja....
Nikhil I agree with your point of view and also that of Natteraja on the subject.

It all depends on one's attitude. The way you carry yourself and the way you are perceived by others (peers n Leads) is important at work place. We all are individuals and have one's unique identity that makes us stand out from the group. At the same time one should not forget that we are in a team. So you should be a good team player.

Attitude is that determines your every move in the office. Having it right makes working in the office a picnic.
Attitude is a little thing that makes big difference...When we r in a team our attitude matters a lot.The way we mingle with our team mates...the way we carryout the work..has an impacton ones identity .
I support that the attitude of the employee counts more than verbal and written communication skills as if the employee has an attitude for self development vis a vis organisational development then only then he will use his other skills.

Both. Attitude, something intangible manifested mostly in how you feel about your workplace & colleagues and project the same, is the sine qua non for building a workplace identity. But this has to be supported by good verbal & written communication skills, absence of which can mar the day.

If an employee stands up when the organisation is going through crisis will be counted very much and he would be able to build an identity for himself.

It is purely depend upon how you interact with your internal customer(colleague, immediate boss) as well as external customer,& your behavior at work place & all your actions while doing your work , which builds your image & creates your identity. |

Kerela IT firms are hunting hackers .. recruiting them in their companies...This is unique way of finding the talent because formal degree does not matter here and what you get is the best people. But what about safety factor.. Is your comany... |
Reservations are always in govt orgs.. and the drop outs do not open them.. do they? Managers having poor marks has nothing to do here becasue either they have establlished the platform or they have enough experience and to add to this let me tell you... |
Business schools were meant to be guides and they don't create a perfect person, they give raw mind a direction. |
