I think once the demand of of Internet grows in rural areas, the number of computers will increase in almost each and every house and in that case per family demand of Internet will also increase. Seeing the cost of broadband in the urban area, I don't think every villager will opt for personal broadband. So I believe they will opt for Wi Fi connections which will reduce their costs. |

Its a very good idea. I think in near future if every rural area will have a wifi then people will get to know new things and interacting to the new technologies. Because our rural area of India should be developed more n more. I think its very good idea for this.

There's a new product in waiting from the AIRCEL stable called PEAK/ PEEK. Expected to be priced around 5000/-, it's a stripped down version of blackberry.
Increased awareness on usage and affordable packages & customisation suited to rural needs can make this a revolutionary product. The only drawback I foresee is that it does not support voice calls
