B2B needs to focus its customer its services that enable them to obtain satisfaction & profit. Satisfaction can be through various value added service offered to them time & again to keep them up intact. Say , Easy payment for purchase / sales; Quality of materials; uninterrupted supply of demand-goods; margin of profit offered; timely supply as needed; consistent interaction with customer on transactions / dealings; feed-back mechanism etc. Modern tools available today, can best retain its customers without loosing their interests.

Negotiation Part

I am fully agree on above points but at the same time, as B2B selling is concern its only & only negotiation part whether you want to approach new customer or want to retain existing ones. there is nothing if you fail on negotiation.

In B2B selling you have lots of choices and competition. So the chances of losing your potential customer is more. By keeping track of the changing demand and needs you can have a better sales and bond between your clients.

Sujatha Yes I agree with you Retaining the potential customer is very important, but at the same time we have to look that we are fulfilling the customer requirement by giving the solution with latest technology with winning tech specs. it should be win-win solution for both Supplier and Customer
