I believe that the important requirement will be a much cheaper data plans. Today the internet plans provided by the telecome service providers are expensive. If they want to target masses, must make the plans affordable to the common man. Telecom operators must allocate mobile broadband access according to business priorities and move away from flat-rate pricing plans to accommodate the growing demand for mobile Internet services |

By reducing the rates of data plans, this facility of mobile internet can be given into the hands of more and more people thus by making it more popular...
I agree with Mr.Samir Das. Nowadays almost everyone use internet in their mobile so the telecom industry should cut down the cost of plans used for internet. By lowering the coast they can target more number of users and can meet the growing demand.

Mobile internet penetration would increase multifold if there were more applications that could be used on this platform. More research and work needs to be done to have business, education, banking and other such useful applications on the mobile phone. |

This is an interesting topic., however since I am a non Indian I will follow up the ideas put forward.

In order to grow mobile internet very fast I think speed is one of the issue that need to be taken care of. At present speed on mobile internet is not very fast due to this application download/transaction processing takes more time. Once speed on M-internet wil increase then it will grow very fast, people will start using more M-internet rather than C-internet. |

With 3G we can expect excellent speed which will increase anytime / anywhere access to the internet and lead to an increase in rural areas too
