What new technological developements would you like to see in Indian railways?

Wi fi facility, which has been introduced in Mysore, should be introduced in other parts of India also. This service would be a boon to the travellers who travel from one corner of India to another and help India to grow its tourism market and make foreign investments occur in India

Signal system is the main hindrance in increasing the average speed of trains. Latest Automatic signal systems, will significantly improve the speed, reduce the commuting time as well as increase the safety multifold.

Better tracks, better engines so as to ensure on time delivery with highest standards of safety. That is the prime thing which our railway has still not achieved satisfactorily.Other facilities are secondary.

When I pay more for a Rajdhani Express or Shatabdi Express it is primarily to reach my home faster and not for the food served and the mannerism of catering staff or telephone or internet or mobile charging points etc.

our trains, platforms, including A grade platforms are so inaccessible to the people.. some technology shud be used to make it more accessible to all

Indian Railway should introduce the facility of smart cards for passengers who travel frequently via Indian Railways. With these smart cards, customers can buy tickets at kiosks. This will be very helpful for them.

I feel, success of technological development / inventions shall be measured in terms of usefulness to the society.

Inventions will keep going on, but unless we make a use of it for uplifting of the society, inventions may be futile.

1) High Class Infrastructure within the trains, which should be affordable to common ppl.

2) Good Seurity System at railway platforms, as we are more prone to terror attacks.

We need high speed trains which can travel the length and breadth of India in shorter duration. Railways being costeffective and accessable to the common man, it should also be modernized.
