I think the demand of eco-friendly homes are very high at present. Eco-friendly homes with energy efficient doors and windows, herbal gardens, rainwater harvesting and solar heating are now as fashionable as they are affordable. People are getting their homes designed with care to have excellent space efficiency and have natural lighting and ventilation apart from permanent exteriors. |

We can use natural sources like sunlight in high rise buildings through central ducts reflecting the light on mirrors and bringing it to lower levels from the roof which can save us the power consumption also eco friendly construction activities like using less wooden shuttering etc ,using dg with proper acoustics, maintaining spm levels near construction site , less use of air conditioning can help in preventing ozone depletion etc . wastage water can be recycled by sedimented tanks and reused .

I think eco-friendly homes are not just money-saving, but even have an aesthetic beauty. Eco-friendly homes which keep houses cool in summer, warm in winter, recycle water, and harness sunlight. Green homes is known to cut overall construction costs by close to 25%. Most eco-friendly constructions also save valuable time. |

According to me, the concept of green buildings has always been there. But it is only now that people are realising that the natural resources are fast getting dissolved and the need of the hour is to conserve them. The advantages of green buildings are it helps to control de-forestation and maintain ecological balance. Water is recycled to the maximum thus conserving water, Waste from the construction of a building is recycled and used at a different construction site and Solar energy to conserve electricity and for water heating.
