Talking about future sounds good as long as we are studying. When it comes to going out and getting a job things become different. Getting a job in research is rare and where do you think the nanotechnology will take you?? There are people who studied nanotech and biotech end up getting an IT job. May be your idea of a better technology is good but the main point is not to study what is good but to study what will provide you with bread butter and shelter in the end.

Yes surely, Nanotechnology is future technology, but also have bad / ill effects with it's advantages.

yeh it is, nanotechnology will revolutionize the electronic world the use of carbon nano tubes will completely eliminate the silicon for the industry the processors will be 20 times faster, it has also got a wide scope in automobile industry it will lighten the vehicles and will hav higher strength

Its an integration of electronic engineering, electrical engineering, computer technology and control engineering with mechanical engg. It is increasingly forming a crucial part in design, manufacture and maintanence of a wide range of engg products nd processes. It is one of my papers in 8th semester, too happy about dat.:-)
