With the world going ga-ga over social media or Social networking, it makes complete sense to cease the situation and market your product (brand) on these social media to have a wider audience as today people are associated with some or the other social networking sites like, facebook, twitter, orkut and many others, and here just lame placement of ads doesn't do any good.

Hence, what should be your brand's attitude in social media?

It has to be very democratic in its attitude. It has to be able to project that it is their (people) brand. Made for them and to be utilised by them.

The connect has to be very emotional and the disposition very happy. The brand cannot distance itself from its consumers at all. It has to invite participation, promise an experience and yet maintain the dignity of it being a BRAND!

These are the key essentials that a product (brand) has to project on Social Media networks! Thanks for the referral Jayant and a very knowledgeable ideation as usyual :)

very true..as it is the consumers' market today and customization can give a stay and growth to a brand.product should be made for consumer not a consumer be made for a product.

Every marketer understands the thrill of winning the attention of customers. But while devising the same plan one should understand what comes next. Consumer networks are constantly changing and highly dependent upon numerous uncontrollable variables. One should be the source of some of those social media initiatives that have the industry talking: social takeovers, controversial ad campaigns, contrarian blog posts, viral user-generated content contests.

Branding should always be promotional irrespective of media.... Only presentations may change and designed in respect of the media selected ....

In the social networks, our brands should just be presented elaborating its pros and cones to get started its implications as a matter of debate... this process will not only improve the loyalty of brand amongst constituent people but also be suggesting the pathway for its improvement in right direction....
