What should be done to increase the take-up of Offsite Construction in the industry?

There are significant perceptions against the take-up of Offsite-MMC among housebuilders and institutions. Smaller housebuilders were even more reluctant. It was felt that Offsite-MMC techniques need to be tested and demonstrated as providing as good or better performance than traditional methods.

Providing a central site with practical examples of using Offsite-MMC techniques should be very helpful. Institutions were required to develop a consistent and objective approach to the use of offsite techniques.

Every new idea has to be promoted by a proper forum. Promotion strategy has to be drafted. People the end user should be made aware about the pros & cons of new technolgy.

This can done by organising seminars and discusion forums. Organising study tour to some industrialised countries where precast is way of construction.

 We cant expect somebody to make million dollars worth of decisions without knowing anyting about the product. But at the same time nobody can stop an idea whose time is due.

Eventhough india has so much wealth, our government doesn't have that money to allocate money for development of construction especially in this field.Bcoz it needs mass project with higher contractual value,so we have to go for collabaration with foreign MNC'S to develop this field,already we are doing in a small manner,let's hope we will achieve in next decades.
