When we are planning to migrate, we should make sure that the target cloud can support the database we are using. If not, can we change the database? Alternatively, we can consider running the application on the cloud and connect to an on-premise database; some Database vendors already support securing these channels. |

Once migration to cloud computing has been decided, most important is the process and technology.
Following points to be discussed and finalized:
1. What to be done.
2. Technological aspect.
3. Security aspect
4. Access policy
5. Front end
Knowing the Database is the part of that. Most important is finalization of process and technology.
