This year could be an exciting one for all of us. Budget 2010 can bring new hopes in the minds of investors & market watchers. 2009 has been a rollercoaster ride for major asset classes such as equity, debt and real estate. The only exception was Gold which  not only survived the wild swings on the way downward but made new highs with the spot price crossing the 18000 mark for the first time.

So what does Budget 2010 hold in store for investors? And what should be the investment strategy?

Focus should be on equity

idea posted by Rashmi Patil Financial services

Investment should be made through SIPs or in a staggered manner and take advantage of the dips. This has been one of the best ways to make money in the Indian stock markets in the last 25 years and 2010 will be no different.

At the same time if the market shoots up sharply we will rebalance your portfolio. In fact rebalancing the portfolio will be a very important theme in 2010.

Long Term Agricultiral Plan with the Emphasis on the Social Sector

idea posted by Hasanul Islam Consulting Support as Social Development Expert, M/S Hasanul Islam
In question of food security this year's budget is an excellent attempt. Besides, budget has provided unprecedented allocation in the social sector that include rural and urban development. The only adverse thing is hike and imposing excise duty on the petroleum product. The impact would be on the prices of essential commodities. However, we have to wait and see how the budget impacts upon the poor people. Hasanul Islam

Increase in slab rates is just an image of good Budget, but the focus should be on common man.because he is the only one who will suffer a lot.
