Communication is not just a speech or talking to someone. I believe it should carry the information and make it understandable what you are trying to convey. From the head to toe everything conveys something to the person listening to you. Your eye contact and body language also expresses so much and one must have coordination between these when you present yourself or a given job presentation. Have belief on your confidence and never translate your ideas before you speak. It only requires spontaneous thoughts and live expressions to make an interesting presentation. |

Communication skills comprises of language, modulation, eyecontact and body language. The aim is to make tainees understand their importance because MBA's I referred to are only average at such things. We aim to stimulate an environment for practice. |

every student who is pursuing mba should be given practice practice and more practice in gd. they hve to be put into real life situations and given the training.

This is very important because the retention of the Group Discussion panel peaks after 15 seconds of your statements. So try to create mental visualizations. So start by saying like “Imagine Bangalore connected with 4 lane flyover and smooth traffic”. Such Visualizations remain in the mind of the panel long after you have spoken. This will help the panel to remember you more than others in the discussion.... |

To me, one should definitely use data around one of their keywords. After all one is going to become an MBA and should become comfortable with numbers. However don’t overuse the knowledge of facts and figures or else you come across as a show off. So there should be a proper balance b/w the data and what you are trying to make out. |

According to me one should organize his viewpoints as soon as the topic is give to the group, think of three keywords that you can think which relate to the topic. Like if they give an example of the topic India in 2020, you can build your viewpoints around Jobs, FDI, Infrastructure. In this way one can co-relate his viewpoints with those keywords and he or she will not be lost in thinking about many things of the topic. |

To me, guys one should also listen to others like what sort of points they are making, it's not only your own viewpoint that matters but also how you integrate the viewpoints of others into your statement also is very important. Coming across as a team player will give you a higher grade as compared to someone who made good viewpoints but did not take into account what other’s said. This should not be the case in the GD-PI sessions. |
