As you put on weight in adulthood, your weight gain is mostly fat rather than muscle. This excess weight can lead to conditions that increase your chances of heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. 

So do regular exercise and keep you weight in control..... :)

If we compare we will find obess persons are prone to cardiovascular problems and healthy weight persons are less likely to be patient of cardio as tendency of fat depositing in our body is main culprit for cardio problems so having a healthy weight is prcursor to every precaution for avoiding cardio problems and of course for having normal healthy weight person will have to do atleast 30 minuts excercise atleast 3 days in a week.

Smoking or using other tobacco products is one of the most significant risk factors for developing heart disease. When it comes to heart disease prevention, no amount of smoking is safe. Smokeless tobacco and low-tar and low-nicotine cigarettes also are risky, as is exposure to secondhand smoke.

vijay rightly the no. one culprit is smoking and use of tobacco additionally an exercise regimen comprising of cardios,light weights for muscle mass, yoga and aerobics for 45 minutes minimum 6 days a week, works wonders.sedentary lifestyle is culprit no 2. a low fat diet with low carbs, vegetables and fruits,lean meat like fish (rich in omega 3 fatty acids)less consumption of dairy products, include flax seed oil (richest source of omega 3 fatty acids)in your diet. keep your blood sugar under check. keep away from stress. drink 30ml whiskey or 100 ml red wine 3 times a week and listen to what vijay pusarla has advocated, you can surely keep cardiovascular diseases at bay.

just workout for 6days a week. 3 days of cardio and 3 days of weight training. but keep measuring your workout all the time. and follow a good healthy diet. more of protien and complex carbs.vitamins and calcium. maintain the proper meal timings and the calories calculation. just take the advice from sport niutritionist.

It is better to avoid oil diet and spicy foods and especially saturated fats because the saturated fats will have more amount of LDL(Low Density Lipids) which are very harmful and they will cause the clots within the coronary blood vessels which supply the heart and thus leading to Heart Attacks.

Sleeping too much beyond the minimum hours needed indicates that something is wrong with the body. Of many diseases that cause due to oversleep... heart attack, diabetes, hypertension are few.... heart attack being the powerful one.

Basically clogging of the any arteries; be it the coronary arteries of the heart or the arteries of the brain, happens due to the logging of the LDL Cholesterol in the lumen of the artery and thereby causing decrease in the width of the artery. First of all you need to eat foods which do not increase the LDL cholesterol & triglyserides. Just the cholesterol is not bad, for the HDL Cholesterol helps to clear the LDL Cholesterol and the HDL Cholesterol can only be increased by excercise. So eat food which is not oily, particularly the polysaturated oils and avoide too much of red meat.
