Many retailers are coming to the market and they all are trying to grab the market share. Customers have a lots of choice before them.
Here retailers are in a confusion on how to bring customers to their shop. What types of sales program would help retailers to tap customers?

Once a Satisfied Customer whole heartedly gains confidence and feels homely as if he is walking into an freind's place or home keeps walking into the same shop again and again.

More advertisements and attractive designs

Shops should advertise themselves more and more and should keep attractive designed dress materials and of different varieties. The more variety and designs with good quality product a customer gets, the more he will be attracted to the retail shop...

The retail space should look like new and fresh, every-time(other day) the client enters the shop.

There must be constant change in the VM of the floor, and if there is no new stock arrival then there should be stock Revival, so that the client dosen't have a feeling of Deja-Vu. It shoul look like there is addition of new stock.

Special offers for existing customers

I believe main thing that should be considered in retailing is to maintain the existing customers. So such customers should get benefit in repeated purchase. So there should be special offers for them like invitation to the sponsored pro grammes, EMI scheme's, discount cards etc.
Once they are satisfied these customer will promote the shop with word of mouth.

Absolutely, repeat client appreciation and a special attention towards the taste of the client would help to hold the client.

Also, it is very important to have regular feedback from the Regular clients about their needs and about the service at the store. And this Feedback session should be given utmost important, as after your sale reps. these are the eyes and ears of the organisation.

Straight forward scheme

I think straight forward schemes like a monetary discount or gets two product of the same price etc would attract customers to the shop. Indian customers always expect more value from the product than they are giving.

Customers tend to go where the action is, besides attractive pricing and large variety to choose from, retailers should engage themselves in promoting some product or the other all year round..buy 2 get 1 free, discount coupons, raffle draws..be imaginative!
